Zar is part of the Seven tribe and within this tribe he holds a position on the overarching council in charge of the herd whose primary focus is Lust. However, in spite of this appointment and the expectations associated, he is very far from lustful in any capacity and instead spends most of his time trying to understand how he is supposed to - or if he is supposed to - lead at all without the sinful drive he is expected to have. He tells himself one day he'll wake up and finally understand his place in the world but deep down feels like perhaps he might never actually have a place at all.
With a fairly tumultuous childhood, Zar was born to a parent who essentially hit-and-run, leaving him to the care of the tribe as a whole. This meant his upbringing was a mishmash of bad advice from any number of terrible sources, leading to an adult who was both neurotic and uncertain in himself. From the start they behaved as if he was born to leadership, probably knowing more about his parentage than he did, and he found himself foist into a position he didn't feel prepared to, handed a history of bloodshed that he was expected to associate with.
He finds himself in the present day far more drawn towards the leader of Sloth, a polite and lazy sort of kin whom he resents feeling such affection towards, even though in many ways monogamy is seen as utterly ridiculous in the herd he leads.
He feels as if he now has many paths before him and choosing one properly is important.
J u s t i f i c a t i o n
Zar is a character who is different in many ways to King of Shadows, an individual who doesn't feel his destiny lies in leadership and who has a lack of decisiveness as an innate part of his anxious jangling nerves. I think he would be an interesting legendary as it could be the springboard that finally gives him an "omen" about what path he should go down.
