[PRP] The Stars Call All [Star Dasher x Deceiver]

Though it wasn’t the wide open expanse of the desert, the trees and roots did provide exciting challenges that he welcomed wholeheartedly.

He ran for the wind, he ran for ache of muscle, for the rush of blood in his ears. Most importantly, he ran to try to recreate his dream of running through the stars – though that was never realized.

Coming to an open clearing he stopped. Sides heaving he looked up with a contented smile. The stars winked down at him playfully, urging him to join them. He named them in his mind, calling to them silently, as he adored their seemingly random pattern. To him, nothing was a beautiful as the night sky.

It wasn't that he couldn't pull of a surprising turn of speed, he'd had to a few times over the years, mostly to escape angry people for various reasons. Generally though he moved at his own pace, his gate sinuous and a little odd because of his missing leg. In spite of it he maintained a certain grace, moving like a ghost through the swamp.

He wasn't expecting anyone to show up in his path that night, but even though he was startled, one would never know it with the way he simply paused to look over the other kin, a gleam of admiration in his gaze.

"Hello there." he said. "In a hurry?"

It took a few long moments for him to tear his gaze from the sky but he eventually turned toward the voice with a smile of genuine glee.

"Never," He answered truthfully, "My running is for the joy of it."

He stood and shook out his sweat-dampened hide, turning to face his company to be polite.

"What brings you to this place? Did I cross your path rudely with my run? My apologies if so."

Deceiver looked a little horrified at the idea of running for fun, but one could never guess the kind of things that people enjoyed doing really.

"Facinating." he said, with a pearly white smile. "You certainly bring one joy to behold. Nothing quite as interesting as a fellow kin with a hobby I could never quite experience."

He curled his tail daintily behind him at his heels in a cheery sort of way.

"Oh don't worry about my path. I'm a seer, my path takes me many strange places. Perhaps we were destined to cross paths."

A delighted smile changed and lit up his features. New discovery was certainly something to take joy in no matter what, or who, that was.

"The stars tell of many such things," he agreed, glancing up at the glittering sky once more, "The constellations have their stories, and their alignment at each moment shapes that moment."

His awe of the stars was clear at all times, as if talking about a lover. His curiosity caught up with him, though, as his companion's words truly sunk in.

"What shapes your seeing? How do your visions manifest? Are they visions?" He questioned, a new fire sparking in his eyes - one of curiosity and the thrill of knowledge not before available to him.
