RP? Blossoms in Despair trod up the mountain. She hadn't really wanted to start this climb at first but as she made her way up she got much more into it and was feeling quite competitive. She was going to reach the top of the giant rock, or mountain, whatever you wanted to call it. She started feeling proud of herself as she made her way up.
As Blossoms continued to climb she sort of emptied her head of thoughts other than the next step. She started humming a tune to go along with the rhythm of her steps as she made her way higher. It was a catchy little hum and seemed to echo through her thoughts, "Just keep climbing, just keep climbing!" What an easy thing to hum to herself, and so easy to keep centered in her mind while she climbed higher.
At one point she felt the heat of the sun in an open space where the light hit the rock just right. She stood still for a second there and basked in the warmth of the sun, though she could not see it, and then felt the spray of the sea. The feel of both the sun and the sea spray gave her a large boost of energy and she continued forward, ever higher. Her steps were rather steady so far during this journey and she was quite happy with that, considering she couldn't really see where she was stepping very well.
After a few minutes of steady climbing her ears picked up the sound of other kin singing a.. was that a sea chanty? They were boisterously loud. She couldn't help herself and started stepping in rhythm to it, which made her actually go a bit faster up the rock. Blossoms in Despair even bobbed her head along to the beat as she moved, it really was quite catchy. Sadly, the kin below stopped singing it all too soon. Oh well, perhaps they'd start up another song soon to encourage the climbers as they ascended the giant rock.
Unfortunately for Blossoms in Despair she suddenly became a bit disoriented. Perhaps it was the fact that her ears had suddenly done that thing where they pop at higher altitudes, perhaps it was something in the air itself. She could feel a bit of seaweed right in front of her and thought perhaps she could use that to pull herself up to the next section. Sadly, not having the best of sight, she didn't notice that it was not firmly attached at the base of the plant. She grabbed it in her mouth and tried to haul herself up. The seaweed caused her to stumble when it suddenly gave out and pulled right out of the side of the rock. Blossoms ended up back in the exact same spot she'd been in a moment ago, except now she also had a bit of seaweed stuck in her mouth. Yuck. She immediately spit the seaweed out. Maybe if it had been dried right or wrapped around some fish it would have been fine, but not like that.
