AU name: William Reid
AU nap space:
Rep was tired. He was always tired because he didn’t get much sleep. Shit at home wasn’t great and had never been great, if he was honest. He usually didn’t bother coming in, he went somewhere else with his mates to drink and avoid being faced with the way he was letting his life slip through his fingers.
It wasn’t even that he was stupid, Rep was smart, but he was bored, and trying to listen to shit he didn’t care about made his mind unfocus like a twisted lens. He was tired, and he was bored and they were a lethal combination. When the class finally broke for lunchtime, he knew he wouldn’t return that day.
His scuffed trainers squeaked on the too-polished floor. He felt out of place, detached from this society of clean halls and bright futures. His future was in the dirt and the grime of the places he belonged.
Rep had a place he went when the world was too much, a hole in the back of an old warehouse, just a crack in a wall that he’d widened until he could slither through it and curl up on one of the shelves, one that never got touched. The spiders didn’t bug him; the dust didn’t bug him; in that place, he could lie there and dip out of the world entirely.
And so he dipped out.
AU dream:
Rep’s dream was brighter than his life, a sprawling beach with endlessly white sands under a sun that left his pallid skin tinged in red. A place where voices cheerfully called his name. Tragedies, but tragedies borne of friendship and love. A ring that mattered to him, a friend that was his shadow forever.
A dream that left him feeling warm and hopeful and full.
