1. What is this familiars' typing? "Obviously, it's a poison/grass type. The best type."
3. What is this familiar's nature? "Naughty nature- just look at it!"
4. As a Gym Leader; which familiar would you choose to battle with to beat the mystery familiar? "I'd throw my flying type feathered serpent at it! Go, Vine!"
12. As a Trainer; which pokeball do you think is best to catch this familiar? "Cherish ball, because I love and cherish all of my familiars."
18. Guess which type this familiar is vulnerable against. "It's double weak to flying, fire, psychic, and ice. Poison/grass has a lot of weaknesses. But that doesn't matter, because strong familiars and weak familiars are only the selfish perceptions of people. Truly skilled trainers should try to win with their favorites."

Response:

"Oh, I don't normally give interviews." says the sizeable and intimidating man with the captivating smile across from me. "But I'll indulge you today for announcing a whole new species of Pokemon. I'm as excited as everyone else, regardless of my profession." This man isn't like any other I interview in my line of work as a Pokemon reporter. Will is rumoured to be the leader of the new and upcoming Team Rabbit, who have been wreaking havoc across the continent in the last year. I must state here that this is not a legal accusation; no one has yet been able to prove the team even exists! Still, I find myself nervous as we converse, seated across from one another, despite being a hardened journalist of many years.

I want to ask him about the disappearances of young trainers, but instead, we chat about the newly discovered Pokemon type due to be announced today and what we might think it will turn out to be.

"The first question we have from viewers of our network." I read from a smudged piece of paper in my hand. "Is what type you think this new pokemon will be strongest against."

He rubs his beard with his calloused fingertips and makes every show of giving it due thought. "Well," he says. "Most new Pokemon end up categorised as normal type, but I don't think they'd be making such a huge deal of it if it was a conventional type. I want to hope it will turn out to be something interesting, so for now, I will guess ghost and psychic." He laughs, higher pitched and less intimidating than expected, closer to a giggle than anything else. "But maybe it will be something entirely new!"

"Thank you. My next question is, if you found yourself in the gym leader position, what other Pokemon would you have on your team besides this brand new one?"

"Replace Springy, my Lopunny?" he says, amused, and I feel he stares more than someone should. "Never. If placed under duress, I would think I would have a ghost Pokemon team. I'm very good at accruing ghosts, you see." He winks at me, and I feel a deep sense of dread. It doesn't feel like someone under as much suspicion as this man should be able to joke about something like ghosts.

"And the elemental stone it might respond to?" I offer, hoping this will divert his attention away from ghosts and whatever he seems to collect.

"Maybe it will respond to an elemental stone that no one suspects. I have some good evidence that we haven't found them all, that scientists in this region might yet record new ones." I nod, unsure what to say. The professors constantly uncover new things in and around the world, but something feels unnatural about the stone he refers to. I worry about what he and his companions might do behind the scenes.

"What is the type of this unknown Pokemon?" I ask, pushing forward with the interview as swiftly as I can. I can feel his companion watching me, a young woman not much older than I am who has said almost nothing the entire time. He nods.

"Dark. I'm going to guess," he says, shrugging his shoulders. "We haven't found enough of them yet; I think we are due to find more."

I ask the next question. "And what kind of nature would you estimate it might have?" I want to ask him what kind of nature he has to pry further into his strange and mysterious demeanour. Still, I can already tell he is becoming restless, toying with the fabric of his trousers idly with his fingertips and adjusting his bow tie.

"Hasty," he says to me and smirks, moving to rise from his chair. "As I'm afraid I must be. I have somewhere important to be this afternoon. You might even hear about it on your network." He laughs boldly, confident and unashamed of his reputation. I can only shake his hand, wish him well and watch him go, his companions in tow.

The interview wasn't about what I wanted it to be, but it gave me an insight into this truly mysterious man.

The thin girl in black clothes wearing a veil over her face raises her hand to answer the questions posed by Prof. Harmony. Her amrs look longer than normal because of the black and white striped sleeves she wears covering her wrist all the way up to her armpits. Her black dress is poofy and lacy, but looks light and fragile.
4. As a Gym Leader; which familiar would you choose to battle with to beat the mystery familiar?
"A familiar with psychic powers, strong against poison and floating so it is immune to most ground based attacks."
8. What environment do you think this familiar was found in?
"The dessert. It will likely be one that hides in the sand and readies to bite at your heels."
20. Which berry do you think they like best?
"Ganlon berries. Dry and bitter. Likely the type that is abundant in the familiar's habitat of origin."
3. What is this familiar's nature? (lax, clam, sassy, etc)
"Hasty. It's defense and speed are inversely proportional to each other."
17. Oh No! You're the Leader of Team Flood! How does this familiar fit into your master plan?
The girl grabs the hem of her veil and reveals her face to the crowd as she let's out an arrogant laugh.
"OHOHOHO!!! Have I dazzled you with my intelligence and knowledge of this familiar? Behold, I am here to ruin your fun! This familiar shall be the starting point to the conflagration! Prepare yourselves, for at the end of the season, all will succumb to Team Flood! OHOHOHO!!!"
A small explosion accompanied by blue smoke erupts and the girl is gone.

13. As a Professor; would this familiar change typing if it evolves?
Well, no actually! This familiar is the final evolution of this pokemon!
4. As a Gym Leader; which familiar would you choose to battle with to beat the mystery familiar?
I would use a Flox. In this world I'd say they're most likely a ground-psychic type(it's all that sass.)
20. Which berry do you think they like best?
I think it would like the apicot berry the best!
5. Guess the colour of the familiar.
Such a nice soft purple! <3
7. Oh No! You're the Leader of Team Darkness! Is this familiar the legendary one you've been seeking?
Nope! But it's still really cool!

1. What is this familiars' typing? (water, fighting, leaf etc)
This is clearly a poison/water type, which is a dangerous and potent combination.

11. As a Gym Leader; what other familiars would you have on your team in addition to the unknown familiar?
Obviously, a pangolin and a jellyfish.

15. Name an attack you think this familiar has.
Obviously it knows poison fang, but it also has a unique move called Toxic Swamp in which it floods the battlefield with poisonous water. This move is hazardous not just to other Pokemon, but even their trainers!

12. As a Trainer; which pokeball do you think is best to catch this familiar?
You'll obviously want to use a Swamp Ball on this Pokemon, which provides a pleasing natural environment for all manner of swamp-dwellers.

17. Oh No! You're the Leader of Team Flood! How does this familiar fit into your master plan?
Obviously, I will use this pokemon's ability to create large amounts of poisonous water to prevent foolish trainers from entering areas I don't want them to visit! It can produce clean water as well, which will surely aid Kyogre in flooding the world!

8. What environment do you think this familiar was found in?
- Probably in the leafy underbrush or in between big rocks
9. You found a TM! Which one would you give this familiar to make them more powerful?
- Acid Spray
4. As a Gym Leader; which familiar would you choose to battle with to beat the mystery familiar?
