Once Forgotten had been away for more than a few days, wandering the Swamp, meeting kin and mostly just doing whatever took his fancy at the time.
It had been fun but he’d missed his little patch. The garden he’d planted looked sad and unattended, the fire had gone out and the bedding he’d collected needed to be replaced.
Everything would be set to rights but first... he needed to deal with the caiman.
The affectionately dubbed ‘Snappy’ was nearby, snout and limbs wrapped in sturdy vines (that had been no easy feat) and was glaring murderously in his direction. The scaly beast had made a decent attempt on his life, even if it was on the small side, and apparently filled with a vengeful heart.
Once Forgotten had eventually subdued it, thanks to a few tips he’d picked up from his darling Cue, but rather than kill the frightful creature, he’d dragged it home with him instead.
"You must be hungry," he said to it, cheerful despite the bite on his back leg making him limp.
