"And then Tumble said, would I like to be with her again, and I was like, of course I would! Because, you know, Tumble is just so pretty and fun and bright, and she really makes me smile, and sometimes I wonder if maybe I should do something for her, you know? Like bring her flowers or something, or take her on some grand adventure together, wouldn't that be so totally marvelous? It would be awesome. It would really be great. But anyway, of course I said yes, and so we went and chased fireflies together and then we ate some delicious food and then we looked at the stars and it was really very romantic, and then I decided why not just go for it, so I gave her a little kiss, and she was so cute, and now I'm going to be a mother."

It was here that Windy paused for breath (though Fierce thought it was rather impressive she hadn't had to do so earlier), and into the starry-eyed silence, Fierce pointed out, "You already are a mother. I blessed your last children. With Tumble, in fact. The same doe."

"Oh, I know!" Windy pranced around in a circle around him, her spindly legs moving with ease in the tall grass of the meadow they were currently meeting in. "I totally know. We have five beautiful, incredible, amazing, beautiful children together! There's this magical flower, you see - "

"Yes, I - "

" - and it makes it able for two does to have children together! Isn't that neat?"

"Yes, that - "

"Or two bucks. Or two of anything, I know some don't like to be called a doe or buck, and that's cool too, anyone can have children now!"

"Yes, and - "

"So here we are again," Windy sighed, coming to a skittering halt in front of Fierce and spraying him with dirt in the process, "me and Tumble. Tumble and me. Together."

There was a small pause.

"Wundle?" Windy said, head tilting to the side. "Tindy? Which one sounds better?"

"Neither," said Fierce fervently, but she wasn't listening.

"I think, anyway, our new children should be just as wonderful as the first were. We really do make quite a lovely match together, and we just complement each other so well, it's been an amazing adventure, we're just so blessed - "

"Yes, blessed," said Fierce hastily, interjecting before Windy could wax poetic further about her acha love. "I bless your children with happiness and joy and a sense of adventure so that they'll never be bored and they'll never want for love or curiosity. They'll be inquisitive, just like their mothers are, and filled with wonder at the world around them."

"Oh, that's lovely," said Windy, her eyes big and round as she gazed joyfully at Fierce. "That's just delightful. I've gotta tell Tumble about this. Do you want to come with m - "

Fierce had already disappeared into the tall grass. It rustled vigorously with the quickness of his hoofbeats.

"Next time!" he shouted over his shoulder. "Have a great day!"
