[B] The Next Step (Black Jade Serpent x Tidal Terror)

Black Jade Serpent was very pleased with himself. Not only had he recently met a lovely doe, but their encounter was quite a memorable and fruitful one. When he first met Found Myself, he'd thought how best to approach her. But she proved herself well and capable of handling her own. Jade had been hopeful whatever was between them could lead to something more, and he was fortunate that his calculations and assumptions proved true.

Which meant he now had to take the next step to ensure the health and fortune of his future children. He wasn't planning on coddling them, after all, totoma needed to be made of sterner stuff and if they took after him in any way, they would be. But it behooved him to also hedge his bets and if there was a way to give them some advantage, all the better.

And that brings him to now, in search of a Mare or a Stag to request for a blessing.

Tidal Terror was fishing on this fine day. She would wait, and wait, and then dive her head into the water to pull a fish out and add it to the pile. Though, she might be getting too many to bring back home with her... Hm. Perhaps a lack of foresight.

She continued to consider her problem, then felt that oh-so-familiar tug not too far away. The totoma turned and caught sight of a totoma buck. Ah! A rare sort seeking her help. But a nice change of pace, all the same.

"Hail and well-met!" she called out.

Black Jade Serpent stopped in his tracks upon hearing the voice. He had not expected to find someone so soon, but that wasn't a problem. It simply meant moving up the timeline he had in his head. He brought a carefully measured smile to his face and stepped towards the direction he heard the voice come from.

"Hail and well-met," he greeted in return. Seeing a totoma doe, no, not doe. A totoma mare! This seemed like a sign to him, a most auspicious sign in fact. Black Jade Serpent managed to keep his excitement for this encounter at a composed level, but he did have his smile grow wider. "I see you have quite an abundance of fish, would you like some assistance in transporting them elsewhere?"

Yes, get in her good graces first, then ask for her blessing.
