Life, uh, Finds a Way [CLOSED]

"Hi!" Flop chimes at the passersby. She stands in front of a larger tree on the edge of the Winter Market clearing. The recent, Swamp-distorting events left the area around the base of the tree shrouded in darkness far deeper than the shade the tree would normally provide. Small, glowing lights peek through the gloom and smoke from a campfire drifts through the large tree's branches and into the sky. When she catches your eye, her smile widens. "Come meet my new friends!" she says as she tilts her head towards the tree, beckoning. The moment you step in line with her towards the tree, she launches into a story.

"So, I was exploring the caves a few months ago. Just in little sections, you know, because of the Ache and all. But, anyways, I don't really know my way around," she starts sheepishly. "I was pretty far from where I started when I found part of the caves that didn't have much light. No glowing mushrooms, no holes in the ceiling to the surface, nothing. The path must not have been used very often because it was very uneven and some of the tunnels were so small even I could barely squeeze through!" the small zikwa exclaims. "All this to say, I lost my balance on the uneven ground and tumbled right into a wall. I thought I was really in trouble because it crumbled all around me! When I wiggled out from under all of the dirt, I saw that a new tunnel had opened up. Of couuuurse I had to go see what was down there!" she declares.

"The further I went down the tunnel, the more humid it got. At first, I thought I found some weird back way to the super misty tunnels where that Obelisk is, but then I saw strange, thick, ferns amongst the mosses and mushrooms and knew I had to be somewhere else. The tunnel opened up into a big chamber where my new friends were! I kept coming back and got to know them more. Eventuallyyy, they decided they wanted to come back with me to the Swamp and explore outside of their secluded tunnels."

The slow walking while she joyfully chattered finally brought you through the threshold and into the shadow under the tree. Inside, it was almost like being in the tunnels deep below. Even stranger were the creatures that huddled around the blazing fire in the middle. They were zikwa, for sure, but not like anything you had ever seen. Amongst them were strange variants of familiars from around the world as well. Truly from some lost, ancient world.

3. The prize limit per person in this booth is 1 kin and 1 familiar
4. The familiar raffles will be rolled at midnight on December 31
5. I will be rolling the familiars in the order their games are posted: fat fish, tegu, then caiman
6. If you don't currently have a kin to post/RP with, feel free to make one up!
7. Please post each entry in an individual post to ensure each ticket is counted properly!
8. If you'd like to RP with Flop and/or The Lost World, feel free to tag me!

Flop stands by a hollowed out tortoise shell filled with wriggling and chittering bugs. "The fish are a bit skittish of all the new sights and sounds, so I don't think they're very keen on coming down. Want to help me feed them? They're pretty good at catching," she says before lowering her head to the bowl. You watch as she gently grasps a few bugs in her mouth and then rear her head up, flinging the bugs into the air. A few fish swarm around and snap up the insects before they fall back down. "See? It's fun! Give it a try!"
