[Blessing] Nowhere to Hide & Fish Bones (fin)
Nowhere to Hide hadn't spent too much time with Ghost of Winter's Breath, so he could be completely off, but he suspected she was with child. And he had no idea how to bring it up. As far as he knew, their encounters had been just for fun. Not that he'd asked if she wanted kids, or was trying for them. And honestly, it wasn't his business, at least until she made it his business.
Nowhere to Hide was pacing in a rough circle, wondering what he should do. His whole being shifting in emotion, worry, hope, fear, and many others. He didn't know what to do or say, or even if he should.
This is how Fiah Bones found him. He watched the dark buck for a long while. Nowhere to Hide was full of uncertainty, so much so that Fish Bones thought he'd found the wrong kin.
Trusting his instinct, Fish Bones walks into the younger bucks's path. His small foxbun form sitting right in the middle of some flattened grass, glowing eyes looking right at the black buck.
Nowhere to Hide saw movement and was surprised by the small furry creature that darted into his path. He saw the eyes and knew this was not a normal foxbun. He'd heard the stories, too many and from so many, that they couldn't just be legends.
Relief washes over Nowhere to Hide as he bows to the wise one, "Help..?"
Fish Bones waits a few minutes, but the buck speaks nothing else. So much unsaid, but he can offer some advice. And some assurances. Sleep, and when you return, ask your questions. All will be well.
Fish Bones watches the buck absorb his words, nodding when he lowers himself into the only bit of grass left standing. Seeing his advice taken, Fish Bones hops back the way he came.
Nowhere to Hide was surprised at first, the wise one wasn't speaking, but his words were heard. They calmed him, and made sense. A nap to put himself back into sorts, and then go ask the only one with answers. And no matter what, all would be well. The wise one said so, Nowhere to Hide thought as he drifted into slumber.
