[B] Once Was Perfect x Guardian

Once is out looking for some food for the fetching doe that he met a while back and is expecting their children.
He sees many rabbits and foxbuns around but he's not very good at catching them. "I'm sure Treasure will like more meat than berries today."

She wasn't a rabbit or a foxbun but instead scales and claws scrabbling over the ground, tongue flicking out and tasting the air and the ground and everything in between. She was bright eyes staring around curiously as she made her way around the swamp. She manages to take down a small rabbit and finds herself dragging it along with her coming to a pause near a buck tail swishing a moment before letting go of the rabbit and scurrying back a few steps studying the buck some. The marine iguana watched intently, and she through it's eyes, watching and waiting.

Apparently Guardian wants to be in this form, at least for now lol sorry

Once, slightly frustrated at his failed attempts to catch something, started flicking his tail and for a moment felt something near his tail. He turned and looked around and found the body of a small rabbit. "Was this what I hit?"

He looks around and doesn't see anything around besides the rabbit. "At least someone was successful in hunting rabbits tonight."

Unsure if it was a gift, or if he spooked the one who left it away, he went to sit nearby and wait to see if they come to claim their prize. "If someone is nearby, your rabbit is still there for you!"
He didn't feel like potentially stealing someone else's hunt especially as the warm season starts to wane.

That's fine. It might be fun to see how he deals with a lizard Guardian

The lizard stared at him a moment from the brush before tentatively moving forward, claws scrabbling along the ground and it stopped before Once, those glowing eyes blinking up at him slowly.

With a sudden movement the rabbit was whacked with it's tail, to knock it a little closer before turning and facing the buck again studying him intently.

Clearly the lizard was trying to get him to understand it was now his rabbit. A gift.

As Once watched the lizard come up to him, he was studying it. Wondering why it came up to him instead of the rabbit.

Then it moved the rabbit closer with It's tail and stared at him. It's bright eyes burning into him, like it was trying to say something to him with just a stare.

Was it trying to tell him to take it? He hesitantly moved over to pick up the rabbit with his mouth, watching the lizard as he did. Since it didn't try to stop him, maybe it was letting him take it. "If this is a gift, thank you. I'm sure Treasure will appreciate it as well." He said to the lizard. "I hope you are able to get one for yourself, you are better at catching them than me." He looks ahead "Maybe my children will be too." He said to himself softly. Then he picked it up.

Guardian gave a gentle laugh viewing the situation through the iguana's eyes, amused by the buck's reactions.

A satisfied feeling came over the lizard as he took the rabbit in his mouth, head lifting almost prideful.

It was those words though, that had the lizard scurrying forward, dashing under the buck and it's tail flicking against a leg. Guardian thought as the pale lizard ran off and vanished, a ghostly visage of a tall pale Mare where the lizard had been moments before now looking at Once before it too was gone, a whispered "May the MotherFather bless your children with the ability to always provide for themselves and those they care about." on the wind.
