[BLESS] A Family Habit (Thief x Lull in Sunlight)

Post by anemosagkelos »

Lull in Sunlight had knew since dawn broke that she would end up being the one to find this particular kin. She'd blessed him before. She'd blessed his offspring, too. It seemed, without her permission, she had become their family Legendary. And it made her wonder if there wasn't a way to shed this life of blessings altogether. Not that she would have actually done it if there was, but she did not have the will to carry out such a scene today. If only kin could have written her a note and she could snap out their wants and dismiss them.

The mare had spent the day going in the opposite direction of what her senses told her, just to add some extra distance. However, day was almost at an end and she did not want a repeat of this tomorrow. She made a face of disgust and irritability, then shook it off and let herself disappear. In her place, the gryphon stood. It gave a chitter and then hopped up into the air and began to beat its wings to gain altitude. It was time to find that damn zikwa and get this over with.

Thief hadn't made much of an attempt to find a Legendary. He'd spent the day fetching things that Deadlands wanted and taking small forays around. He knew if anyone were to answer his call it would be her and he knew he'd likely be smarting for it, too. She wasn't too fond of him, the Legendary, but by some means she always ended up being the one that found him. He tried not to revel in it, really, but she really was quite cute and while one day he hoped to find a lifemate . . . Thief hadn't found one yet.

The zikwa did one last check on the expecting doe before heading a tiny bit away to wait. It ended up being a quite short wait as the gryphon darted down from the darkening sky.

"Hello, again," Thief greeted with a grin. "I am sorry to bother you," he attempted to mollify the winged feline. "Would you be so kind as to leave my future children with a blessing? I promise I won't flirt even once!"

"Oh, you will, and you know it," Lull rebuked, as the gryphon melted away leaving only her mare form visible. "But I'll not leave your offspring in such dire straits to have you teach them."

Quiet lasted a minute as she stared at him hard.

"Your children will take after their mother, but with far more sense than to fall prey to the first flirt they meet. They shall be hardy and hale and hate the color pink." She grinned at the last bit, knowing it would likely not do any good.

"You always know the right thing to say," Thief grinned at her, unbothered. "Maybe one day my children will—"

"No. I forbid it from ever being thought of," she snarked back without hesitation. "Now, farewell."

Lull in Sunlight vanished, almost, and Thief was content.
