Rhythm always felt full of thoughts after funerary rites for the recently deceased. She thought of the former kin, how she had known them (if at all), where in the cycle they ought to be now... it always made her more thoughtful of her own life and her place in the cycle presently. How close was she, to the restful end! To joining the earth and the MotherFather in nourishing those who still tread on through their cycles.Her thoughts kept her standing in the quiet evening air, long after the other tenders of the dead had returned to their cave below. But her idling mind didn't stop her sensitive nose from catching a scent on the breeze, an uncommon one compared to most kin scents. What could bring them off this way, she wondered? Well, she would have to say hello, and perhaps see what she could do to help.
