[BLESS] Cold Nights (Lull in Sunlight x Spasm)

Winter was beginning to creep into the swamp and she hated it. There would be so much less sunbathing as she relaxed in her feathered serpent form and a lot more nesting down as a gryphon or burrowing down as an owlcat. So it was no surprise that she felt a little grumpy and even less surprise that someone nearby needed a blessing. She whined in annoyance, shifting from instantly recognizable mare into a more demure owlcat. And because she could, she melded into the many shadows that were filling the area.

She'd bless whoever came but they had to find her first.

No one ever told Spasm about the side effects of being pregnant. She waddled for one, and while that was anticipated, the constant gas was not. When in crowds, she tried to cough, or if she was particularly brazen and was on the offense, she'd loudly blame it on the baby. But she was walking by herself and without any kin in sight, she could let loose. She didn't have to hide it or beg the MotherFather that it would be a silent one. She squeaked, she was quiet, but in the end a gas trail followed her. She couldn't wait until she was over. She let out a particularly loud, wet fart.

Oh Motherfather, she had not been anticipating that, and with a surprise yowl, she outed herself by dashing from the shadows and upwind from the doe.

"I forgot about that particular problem with pregnancy," the now-mare groaned, pulling in deep breaths of fresh air through her nose and mouth. "You're going to want some peppermint for that ailment." Advice free of charge.

"But you're here for more than that, aren't you?" she asked already knowing the answer.

She gave a delicate sniff. She didn't smell that bad did she? If one kin could smell her, did that mean the others could to? Was she fooling anyone with her coughs and sneezes? And would peppermint really help? Would it get rid of the gas entirely? She was willing to try raw entrails at this point. But before that, the kin, a Mare has smelled her and kept her distance. Did she really stink? Ugh, she was ready for the clutch to pop. She would like to go one day without feeling bloated.

"Yes. Well. the peppermint advice is a bonus. I am really hoping that works because at this point, my friends are dropping like flies. I'm here for a blessing if you have time." She planned on being extra polite. Her constant gas wasn't winning her any points.

Lull in Sunlight nodded; she'd known that already but she was glad to the doe was upfront and direct about it.

"And what do you want for your little ones?"

Not to be gassy for a start, but it wasn't likely she would ever come across a legendary again. Motherhood was not for her. She wasn't sure if she could handle the side effects. She could barely keep food down or gas in. She wasn't going to waste this opportunity. ANd yet, she could not think of much beyond her immediate discomfort. It was no way to live for her or her clutch. But maybe if their personalities were fierce and strong, unlike hers, they wouldn't care at all if they passed gas. Why was she worried about others thinking about her gas? It was natural. It was normal. Everyone did it. She just happened to be full of it and clutch.

"I wish for them to not cater to others or care what they think. They will be strong to back up their carefree attitude." There. She could at least do that for them. She hoped she got it right.

"You're children shall be happy and strong-willed, they will be healthy and carefree. They shall bow to no one but all shall bow to them," Lull in Sunlight blessed the clutch within the doe. And then, because it wasn't far, "Now, let us get you some peppermint. It'll at least ease that discomfort you're feeling."
