mini bear prompt
You're walking through the swamp at late dusk when you see it looming in the shadows. A shaggy, dark figure towers over you from a distance and you get a glimpse of a pair of glowing red eyes from under a skull. Before you can respond, the figure is gone. It was over as soon as it began but that night you have a strange dream... or is it more of a nightmare?

PROMPT:

How does your kin react to what they've seen? Interpret the dream (or nightmare) that was triggered by the event. If you need an idea, you could try writing a skewed version of their naming dream as that would surely be nightmarish for any kin.

If you obtain a minibear, the IC obtainment of it would be as following:

Upon waking up, your kin will find a minibear cuddled up next to them as if trying to comfort them. I wonder where it came from? Your kin has its own personal teddy bear now!
[imgright]https://matope.pixel-blueberry.com/imag ... uncert.png[/imgright] Hold Your Tongue was late getting home that night, he'd left Lights Shimmers on Webs at their little home, telling him he was going out to get a surprise for him. He'd managed that, at least. It was a flower that looked and more importantly smelled like the ones they'd both had when they first met. It was a long, not so easy trek and he hadn't wanted the zikwa to hurt himself trying to climb the things he couldn't see.

So now, he was on his way home, the sun nearly down, and carefully carrying the flowers so he didn't mess them up when he heard an odd sound and looked up. Normally he was fearless (and a bit of an asshole, but that had toned down since Shimmers had entered his life he could admit) and this, unnerved him some. The thing....whatever it was, was so big and those menacing red eyes glowing from under the skull sent a chill down his back.

He blinked and it was gone, and with trepidation he continued on home to his mate, happy to be back there, the flowers received happily, though it was his own presence back at the other bucks side that seemed to be more appreciated. Still, they slept with the flowers close, and he was glad he'd gone for them.

As he slept, the dreams filled his head, or in this case, the nightmare. In it he'd woken up, and his mate was gone. He couldn't find the zikwa anywhere, and no amount of searching turned up a clue. No hoof marks to show what way he'd gone, no one who'd seen him, in fact most just stared at him like he was crazy, and made a kin up.  It was as if the other had never existed, and it left him broken in a way he didn't know he could be. Had he made up the zikwa? It wasn't possible the last year had all been in his head...was it?

Waking with a cry he was relieved to feel the warmth of his mate beside him and he shuddered in relief, a soft "Please don't ever leave me..." from him as he laid his head across the others back. Only to realize there was another warmth, a different smaller one beside him and he raised his head to see the small mini bear curled up beside him, comforting him. It was a surprise but he felt the fear ease a little, and he shifted so the bear could snuggle up easier, while he cuddled his mate. "Stay." word murmured softly, and it was hard to tell if he was saying that to the bear, or his mate.
