Hemlock was all about excess and losing herself to sensation. When the cry for more dry wood was made, she dutifully went out to find proper kinder. Hauling her furry menagerie of four legged friends and fiends, she brought back small little twigs and a neat little pile grew.

Luck was not with them when Hemlock came across a huge log. Try as she might, but between the acha and three canines, they could not get the log to budge. Forlorn, they return emptypawed.

Lo and behold, fortune favors the bold. For that crushing moment, Hemlock was victorious and with gums pushed to the limits, brought back the leafy branch.

Once again in the same evening, Lady Luck favored the dark colored acha. This time, while her teeth ached from the specific task, she had her canines drag it forward to the great bonfire. In it went, success!

After the two leafy branches, Hemlock was nice and knackered, but with a second wind, she went to explore more. It was for naught. Together they found small branches that required no extra breaking. They could be toss readily into the roaring fire. It was going to be a good night.

Well, wasn't that just swell.Not even a few minutes into the search, and Hemlock already experienced a setback. But that was part of the adventure. She dashed the tiny would be sea of a puddle and went forward onward and out!

A small setback but with great returns. Hemlock chanced upon a large log and thanks to her hard earned muscles, was able to retrieve it for the festival. Wait until they got a load of this!

Egads! Another large log was found. What a mighty blaze this one will create. It would add nicely to the bonfires.

Hemlock pushed her luck further and was delighted and a little relieved she did not find yet another large log. Some twigs and underbrush would be nice for stroking the fire.

Her journey was coming to an end. She had found enough underbrush, muck, mire, branches and logs for the bonfires. Sweaty, but satisfied, she started her sojourn back.

5 - Oh no! You step into a big puddle on your way back and lose your wood. -1 point
6 - A great leafy branch! You can carry it in your teeth. +4 points

Hemlock puffed out her chest, wiggled the kinks out of her body and set out to a fast jog to see what the day had in store for her. Magnificently, laying there in an idyllic spot near the glen was a small log. Hemlock crouched and lifted it above her flank in an impressive balancing act and continued to see what she could find. Trouble, hopefully!

It was just as well that the next log she found was waterlogged. Kekeke, a titter escaped from the back of her throat.

It was times like this, Hemlock wished she was a totoma. Their horns and broad backsides made for ideal beasts of burden. Not to grumble, and instead gratious at her turn of luck, Hemlock hauled another large log. She was certain her job was made harder and if she would abandon a log and make several trips, it would be faster. Then there would the issue of someone taking her found log. She begrudgingly tugged it along.

Now Hemlock like the chuckle flow freely. It seemed that when she wasn't looking for logs, she found them in abundance. With two logs in her possession, she found yet another one and much to her dismay, could not come up with a logical reason why she should not bring it back. And so she carried on with three in her possession, moving at a snail's pace. She hoped she didn't encounter any hares.

Hemlock had no such luck this morning. Her log she found was wet. Unsalvageable she abandoned it for greener pastures.
