Ballad had lots of romantic ideas, and this was just another one of them. So many of her siblings were parents now, and she was ready to be one as well! She wanted it to be a good first time, hoping she would be a good mother for her unborn children. She didn't think she was anxious or worried, just inexperienced. There were places she could learn some skills, if she wanted. Or she could turn to her family, her mother and grandmother, to see if they had songs or advice for her. One thing she knew, however, was that legendary kin had power that would help, in some way.


Ballad began her search, heading out into the swamp to look for a legendary who could help her.

There was something about young mothers to be, the sweet does who had not yet had young that made Roses in Bloom's heart sing. She just wanted to tend to them, love them, help them through their time to be. There were certainly kin better equipped to nurse the young, to tend to their afterbirth and make sure they could stand on their own four hooves.

But the emotions, the fears, she could be there. She could help tend to that. And so she did, on gentle wing as she landed next to the doe.

"I believe you may be in need of some assistance, my dear?" She asked, gentle and loving as she was back in her own skin once more.

The doe tilted her head, then bowed in deference. The mare was beautiful, and gentle. She was everything you could have wanted. "If you can... this will be my first time as a mother. I want to do well," she said, her thoughts a jumble of songs. There was so much to know and sometimes it felt there was so little time. Sometimes she wondered if this was the thoughts a doe might have before she decided to abandon her clutch, or leave them to someone else? It happened often enough. "But I feel I don't know anything. I love them already, I want the very best I can give for them. Could you help?"
