Night Fishing was back for round two with this very unusual form of fishing. She had all the swagger earned the day before and was very much feeling herself. She was gonna rock this and feed/catch So Many ancient fish.

She grabbed a mouthful of feed, threw back her head, and promptly inhaled the food into her lungs.

Having up what she could and gasping for breath Night Fishing resigned herself to slinking away to wallow in her misery for a bit.

She'd be back tomorrow.

As a loving food tribe patriach, it was his calling - nay, his duty, to introduce them to the many savoury joys of Rise and Shine. But what? So many choices - their original salted preserved meats, their giant drumsticks, or...

There were some tough, chalky berries that were resilient and not poisonous, and Bath shimmered out of the shadows with a mouthful, held in prickly leaves which were not very pleasant to hold in ones mouth.

"One of the few things growing, really," Mud Bath said, sounding a bit depressed. He didn't really look forward to winter. There was rather a lot of planning ahead and harvesting to prepare for a world that was lean and cold. If he hunted, which he didn't, it would have been a chore because nothing was very keen to leave a cozy spot. He didn't blame any of them.

RP: Something Fishy eyed the fish swimming after the tossed bugs. There definitely was something.... Off about these fish, compared to the ones he'd seen before. Their noses seemed longer than his, even if you didn't account for the rest of the face proportions.

Entry: Winter was annoying - very cold, not good for growing, and honestly one of the few things that made it worth it was frozen berry juice. A few years back, Fruit-of-Love and Up-and-Down had discovered that mushed up berries left outside could be ruined, but could also freeze into a sweet treat. The first time was an accident and featured unintended bugs, but the version she brought to share with the ziks had been frozen intentionally and had no unexpected extra protein.

Entry: Stopping by Woods was eager to introduce these strange but wonderful kin to her favorite winter treat. She was sure they'd had apples before, but had they ever had apples like this?

"Hello," she said with a cheerful, serene smile. "I hope you all like these. They're spiced apples." She pushed the basket forward which contained warmed apples that had been coated in cinnamon and nutmeg. "They might be a little hot still so be careful, but they're best when they're warm." Not only did the heat warm those that ate them, but the spices helped keep their mouths and bellies toasty and cozy as well.
