Which Path: King's Side absolutely works on the hero side. She's not the "Go out and save people" sort, rather the support the hero who does. Which Path: War Song is an anti-hero at best, or a villain in his redemption arc at worse. He's chaotic, violent, and generally grumpy. Disillusioned by society, doesn't see the merit in saving people, and doesn't want people to rely on him; he doesn't want that pressure. He will do what he wants, weather that causes people harm, or helps them. It may be selfish, sure, but he's not going to be some uptight goody-goody.
