Triple Bark Time:
13. THE MANGROVE represents drive and determination, the power of someone who knows what they want, and victory.
5. THE KIOKOTE represents hope and healing, calming, optimism, and inspiration.
12. THE LIFEMATES represent close relationships, both in love life and in interactions with others.
RP:
The Tactician really wasn't too superstitious, but she would gladly hear out a reading, she could envelope it in her future decisions. Maybe it could help her, or her siblings - maybe even her soft little brother, who didn't believe in finishing arguments with teeth and hooves.

One could say that she was less than surprised, almost expectant of The Mangrove card, a small chuckle erupting from her - almost like even the spirits and fate knew her personally. Yes, yes she was driven, knew what she wanted, and would finds ways to clutch victory in her own teeth. A warm smile was given to the reader, before she nodded and asked for them to continue. Upon watching The Kiokote fortune flip towards her, she gave a soft nod, a comfort car, showing that maybe, there was a situation in the future, or even currently that she wasn't aware of, that was healing and mending. Giving a little look, she wondered where this fate lied, before shaking her head.

Better thoughts for later.

On the last card, the usually strong-worded doe pursed her mouth softly, wondering quietly if it was pointing her in the correct direction.

Who knows?

Triple Bark Time: 6(i) 20 2
RP: THE ACHA represents uniqueness and the embrace of individuality for success. (inversed)
THE FESTIVAL is uplifting, representing happiness, joy, vitality, and optimism, a reminder to appreciate how well things are going.
THE TURTLE represents the urge to withdraw from the world for some solitude and personal reflection.

Despite Forward by Choice's gruff demeanor and living out the harsh practicality of totoma culture, he was actually deeply superstitious. He wasn't always like that, or rather it wasn't immediately obvious. He would always maintain a stoic demeanor around others, it was something he had to do to survive in the harsh mountain environment.

But here in the swamp it was a difficult habit to break. He was grateful that the kin he'd come across and those who accepted him didn't push him to be something he wasn't. So when he learned about a fortune teller's booth, he decided to give it a try. His first draw was The Acha but in inverse. Consulting with the meaning, Forward felt a little odd. Was it telling him that it was in his best interest to be more like the others to succeed?

The next oracle was The Festival. The corresponding meaning to that fortune brought a smile to his face. Not necessarily a big one but a smile nonetheless. He liked to think his way of living out here in the swamp was making him a better kin. He knew Heart's family was always growing and perhaps involving himself more with those who would let him was a definite step in the right direction for the tototma.

And the last oracle was the Turtle. Again the smile, this was less a prediction and more a natural state of being for him. Or rather it used to be. With his name, he knew he couldn't allow himself to be mired in the past for too long or too often. But that was why these were just predictions and not the future set in stone.

He could manage things on his end to the best of his abilities.

Triple Bark Time:
20. THE FESTIVAL is uplifting, representing happiness, joy, vitality, and optimism, a reminder to appreciate how well things are going.
10. THE NIGHTMARE represents restraint and powerlessness, the feeling of being out of control, and encourages breaking free.
17. THE FLOOD represents the cycle of endings and beginnings, a reminder that all things must pass.
RP:

Sparkling Sunrise was excited when she caught a glimpse of the great white kimeti buck in the swaths of others in the Winter Market. She'd seen him once before, probably at the market last year, but never made it to his booth. The young totoma trotted over and looked high above at the lights illuminating the dark space. This booth's aura was definitely different from the fun-loving, tropical vibe outside of it. Still, she continued inside and greeted the buck. After listening to his instructions, she carefully awaited her fortune.

"The Festival, hm," she started. This felt pretty accurate. Her upbringing was full of love and light and she thought about her family fondly. "This was really nice to hear, thank you," she said softly. Being reminded of where she'd come from was really helpful when she'd been feeling so uncertain for so long.

Sparkling Sunrise flinched when Oracle Bark drew the next slender stick. Most of the nice and warm feeling she'd gotten from the first draw drained out of her heart, through her hooves, into the ground, and left ice and fear in it's wake. The Nightmare brought flashes of memory to her mind of recent events, of how her world-and everyone else's for that matter-spiraled out of control because of that strange acha and his friends that weren't actually his friends? It was all still so confusing. The young doe said nothing. She swallowed and cleared her throat before giving the buck a nod.

The young doe let out the breath she'd been holding when Oracle Bark drew the final piece. The Flood felt like a conflicting future, but maybe, she thought, it was a sign for how to move forward. Everything must pass, she would move onto bigger and better things, and the events from That Time would be behind her. Maybe in the future she'd even find some answers to all her questions. Sparkling Sunrise smiled and looked back up at the buck. "Thank you very much for your help. You've given me a lot to think about."

Triple Bark Time: obelisk (inverted), sea x2
RP: Another year, another absolutely insane fortune he would probably regret receiving. Still, Murkcrow was drawn to the booth like a moth to a flame, and as the bark was laid before him, he groaned.

There is was again...the Obelisk. He could not remember a time when he had not drawn this bark, and every year like clockwork there was a new obelisk adventure tm waiting for him. And next to it...the sea. Twice.

The beach is nice, he thought, as he looked out over the waves. But he had seen the true horror of water before, and he shuddered. Murkcrow craved open spaces, but not the ones that made you feel small and terrified and alone.

Still, maybe he could look at these cards a different way for once. Take the less literal meaning. The inverted obelisk could mean creation instead of destruction, peace instead of chaos. Two ocean barks seemed to emphasize the point. That sounded nice, but Murkcrow was a little skeptical. Things had been weird in the swamp for a while now. Were still weird now (he looked at the picturesque ocean where Ghost Thistle's mound should be and frowned).

He didn't really feel peaceful, he guessed. He thanked Oracle Bark politely and went on his way.
