Entering a woven series of dark branches, Oracle Bark waits in the dark lit by spooky lamps.

"Welcome! Choose your Fortune - Either the Single Bark to guide today, or the Triple Bark which shows Past... Present... and future to be! Beware, Inverted Barks mean the inverse of what you may think they are!"
To Play:

For Single Fortunes: Roll 1d22 and use the Fortunes below to RP your fortune!
For Triple Fortune: Roll 3d22 and do the same! If you get two of the same, that meaning is doubled. If it is three of the same, it is an overwhelming fortune of that theme!

For additional Risk, roll an additional 1d7 per Oracle to inverse it, if you roll a 7 - you get the opposite meaning!

RP your fortune, RP over 500 words may be used for legendary reqs!

RP:

Spirit walked along the path, his steps appeared as if he were gliding on the ground. Gaze wandering along all the booths present when something shiny caught his eye. "Oracles?" He thought out loud. How promising. He wandered closer and listened to the boothrunners instructions. A single fortune or three? Hmmm three sounded more appealing to him and so he chose. He watched as his cards were drawn. "Spider, Blessing, and Nightmare." Each representing his past, present, and future. He listened about the meaning of spider and thought it was fitting to his current attire. There had been a bad decision that had cost him his fur and so he hides from others as well as so far as going to change the subject all together. Deciding to both physically and mentally distance himself from the trauma most times. The blessing bark also made him think about how far he had come from what happened. His future card on the other hand.. hmm. It kind of gave him hope that he would find the strength to break free from incident of the past and overcome that. All in all not a bad fortune, definite food for thought!

RP:
Wool of Bat was very curious about the oracle bark and took her time selecting them before carefully flipping them and listening. There was contentment from her at The Kiokote, very filling for her. Usually anyhow. The Festival was also a great bark to have flipped. She was usually full of happiness and such. The Totoma made her pause a moment in thought though. Maybe she wasn't as in control of her own life as she had led herself to believe. Interesting! With that new knowledge in her head she thanked Oracle Bark before wandering off deep in thought.

RP: Strange Creature had gotten her fortune read before, and it was usually fairly grim. But this time, the tides had changed, for her fortune was a jolly one indeed. Drawing the festival meant drawing the here and now this time, since it was the winter market and that was always a time of joy. Then ascension- that was when the past and future met. And the swamp? Drawing that piece of bark told her something plain and simple and oh-so-comforting to here. Her fortune this year was that she was simply in the right place at the right time, and nothing could be any simpler to understand. She was home and she was allowed to feel that way.

RP:

Cosmic Traveller is always intrigued by those who read other's fortunes. Her own "ability" notwithstanding, she would like to take into account anything that might be in her future, in case that would affect how she sees that of others.

The barks were all upright--mainly positive. She only needed to discern meaning from them. What part of her life were they portenting?
Did the obelisk refer to her relationships, or something broader affecting more kin?
Was the kimeti telling her to treat her children with more reverence to their surroundings rather than to their own whims?
Was the presence of the seasons bark telling her that something big was going to happen soon?

She thanked Oracle Bark for his time. She needed to rush back to her den and see her family, just in case.

RP:
One day, as the sun sank below the horizon and cast golden light upon the earth, a whisper of wind lured him to a place he had only vaguely heard of: the Oracle Bark. It was said to be a place lit by lanterns that flickered like fireflies. The air was filled with a mixture of excitement and fear as many forest dwellers spoke of the mysterious wisdom that lay within.

“Welcome! Choose your Fortune, either the Single Bark to guide today, or the Triple Bark which shows Past, Present, and Future to be!" croaked the voice of the Oracle, its form shrouded in dark, woven branches that bent and twisted like ancient secrets.

Curiosity fluttered within Life in Full Color, and despite his usual reluctance to lean into the mysterious, he felt an irresistible pull. He approached the Oracle, his heart thumping like a drum. “I wish to know my future,” he voiced softly, the weight of anticipation making the air thick.

The oracle's eyes narrowed like slit pupils in the light of the flickering lamps and nodded to come closer.

With a contemplative nod, Life made his decision, selecting the Triple Bark, ready to embrace whatever revelations awaited him. The Oracle began to weave intricate symbols in the air, layers of meaning folding around them like the threads of a spider’s web.

“The first is the Owlcats,” it pronounced. An image materialized, depicting a creature with the wise visage of an owl and the agile body of a cat. “This signifies optimism and excitement for whatever life may throw at you. Your open heart allows you to see the beauty in every challenge. Remember, Life in Full Color, there is always a silver lining.”

A warm glow enveloped him, instilling a sense of hope as he thought of the challenges he faced, always leaning into them with optimism.

“The second is the Swamp.” The Oracle conjured a floating image of a landscape. “This represents completion, success, and fulfillment. You will tread the path of your dreams, and along the way, you will find not only your own joy but also help others realize theirs. Your heart will guide you to the right choices.”

Life smiled. He had always believed in the importance of community and support. He could already imagine how many lives he could touch on his journey.

“Lastly, we find the Kimeti,” the Oracle continued. With a flourish of its branches, it showed a stunning kin bursting with color, embodying compassion, beauty and love. “You are a guardian of the natural world, nurturing everything you encounter. Your essence will ripple through the lives of others, creating a tapestry of love that enriches all.”

As the visions faded, Life in Full Color stood still, his heart swelling with purpose. The Oracle’s words echoed in his mind. He was not just a buck, he was a vessel of hope, support, and compassion, meant to help others blossom and thrive.

“Thank you,” he whispered to the Oracle, gratitude blooming like spring flowers within him. As he turned to leave, the dark surroundings felt a little lighter, the darkness dispersed by the radiance of his heart.
