Tricks is silent for once as the shadows shift and curl around her ankles.
The Stump has caved completely inward - rotted from the inside out.
All manner of deformed oddities spill out from within - none of them pleasant to the eyes or nose.
"Maybe...." Tricks whispers. "Maybe it's time...."
All is quiet and somber as the kin around you awkwardly shuffle away with the last few prizes the Stump had offered them.
As night falls, you happen to be passing back this way again. A shadow emerges from the corpse of the Stump. The Dark Tricks stares into the rotten remains of her home, then at you, and then... she smiles.
