[B] Nesting [Pretty is x ???]

The highs and the lows her moods circled around. It was very obvious to her, but it wasn't yet outwardly obvious.

She hadn't told Calling Bird yet, he was going to be ecstatic when he found out, but she wanted to make sure their babies were healthy, happy, and safe before she told him, and a blessing would help with that.

So in the early hours one morning, before the buck woke, Pretty slipped away to search for someone who could help her.

Today such help came in the form of Kiokote, stumbling in his haste to reach, a halo of rainbow orbs bobbing around his head. 

“Congratulations and salutations!” He called, breathless from his run. He was, as always, a diligent member of the ascended. “ I have come to assist you!”

Heavy hoof beats approaching had Pretty pausing, ears twitching left to right before she spotted the Kio racing towards her. That rapid approach was met with wide eyes, but as he greeted her, congratulating her, her posture relaxed and she smiled up at him.

"Salutations," she echoed back at him, and then dipped her head in gratitude. "And thank you, for the kind words and the offer to help." The doe chuckled. "I've never met someone touched by the MotherFather that was so eagerly energetic to help." Energetic, or eager, but never both.

The Kiokote slowed himself to halt before pregnant doe, taking a moment to catch his breath.

“Ah,” he said once he was able, “that’s surely not the case!” But even as he spoke, an image of Cue popped into his mind.  He doubted anyone would ever call her style of blessing eager or energetic.

Nor could he think of any other that approached the job with his level of dutiful enthusiasm.

“It takes all types,” he said finally, smiling. “And today, I’ve been granted the honour of blessing your foals-to-be. What do you wish for them?”

She didn't need to point out that she believed it was, I deed, the case. She could see the realization of it play out across his features and it made he giggle softly to herself.

On to the matter at habd, though.

"Kindness, I think," she answered. "Kindness and compassion." They would be healthy, she believed that, and they would be beautiful, but she didn't want that beauty to rule them. She wanted them to take after their father.

A worthy request indeed. Pleased, Once Forgotten dipped his head in agreement, his smile that of a proud father, though they had only just met.

“Very well. May they be born with kindness and compassion, and find the same in others.” The glow on the orbs floating above his head seemed just that little a bit brighter as he blessed her.

She dipped her head as well in gratitude and respect, and then beamed brightly back at him. "Many many thanks. I'm glad it was you I ran into. Perhaps we'll see each other again." She doubted very much these would be her last babies with Calling.

With a flick of her head to toss her mane back over her back she started to turn, ready to head back to her gentle giant.
