[B] Begrudging Feelings (You Wish x Once Forgotten)

Wish just sorta stood there, looking into the sky, deep in thought. She'd always railed against the idea of "love" and "romance". In her dream, she had seen hearts, like the one one her shoulders, floating just out of reach. She ran to them, chased them, but they always flitted out of the way. A warmth in her core told her she needed one of them. The feeling drove her,

After she had enough and stopped chasing the hearts, she had sat feeling anger and rue for all the time she'd spent chasing them. One of the hearts drifted down, slowly, almost coyly and began to shine in front her. The message was lost on her. She turned her head and hissed out the words that made her name.

Recalling her dream, she chided herself for the feelings that were rolling in her head, the feel of that warmth in her core again.

Just as her dreams floated through her mind, someone else was drifting by. A moth, with a brilliant halo of coloured lights, floated towards her with slow beats of its wings.

The sight of the moth and it's colors shook Wish out of her head instantly. She took a step back for a moment in an instinctive movement before relaxing. She looked up at the moth curiously, watching it's movements in a awe.

The moth stopped in mid-air before the doe, many wings flapping lazily through the air - and within a blink of an eye, there was a Kiokote standing before her instead. He smiled at her, his eyes glowing with rainbows.

"You seemed very deep in thought," he said. "I'm sorry to interrupt."

Wish's eyes widened and she did something like a small bow. "O..oh I'm sorry! I didn't know I was in the presence..I uhm..." she stammered. "It wasn't even an important thought! It was just silliness!"

He wasn't used to being bowed at. Even as a Legendary, he was much more used to his son whining for food, his grandchildren causing a ruckus and various family members tromping about the place barely listening to a word he said. Oh how he missed them dearly, even just having been gone for the day.

"Was it?" He inquired pointedly, brows rising. "If it's worth the time spent thinking, it's surely not silly at all." He smiled and gently prompted, "is there something in particular on your mind?"

He didn't want to mention her current state of pregnancy just yet, though he'd ruined the surprise for others on more than one occasion.

Wish's mouth moved up and down for a moment. The legendary wanted to know what was on HER mind?

"I uhm.." she considered her words carefully. "I never was...big on feelings...I guess..?" She felt embarrassed. "And I met someone who's making me feel feelings and it's...confusing." She was quiet for a long moment. "Kinda frustrating too." Surely this isn't what this other kin wanted with her...?

“I see,” he murmured knowingly, because he had spent a good portion of his younger years full of very big feelings that he had been very confused about. It was all well and good to find love but when you were young and your life was complicated, figuring out how to deal with it was a long process.

“Those feelings are normal and understandably frustrating but you have time to think them through. They’ll begin to make sense eventually, when your heart decides what it wants.”

Once Forgotten was giving a sage nod when he remembered that he’d been expecting a different answer... one about her expecting. Perhaps she didn’t have all that much time to sort out her feelings.

He awkwardly cleared his throat.

“Just curious and not at all related but if you were to ever desire a blessing for future potential offspring... what would you ask for?”
