[B] Heart of Glass [Glasswing x Once Forgotten]

Glasswing would brave the cold, the building snow of the winter, to do what he needed to do. He had been enjoying the company of a lovely wintery doe, and now he wanted to take responsibility. He looked for a legendary who could bless their future children. Of course they would find him long before he would find them, but he still could search. And while he searched, he carried with him a treat from the winter market. Everyone liked gifts, after all.

[imgleft]https://matope.pixel-blueberry.com/imag ... uncert.png[/imgleft] Once Forgotten was heading towards the winter market, his steps high and cheerful, looking forward to perusing the various stalls and finding something to bring home to Cue. There were always fun little accessories and trinkets, not to mention the food. He was hoping for a big bunch of roasted chestnuts.

He noticed the buck early, as they seemed to be heading towards each other and there was no way that pink was going to blend into the snowy landscape. Much like his own black and rainbow self would stand out like a sore hoof.

Speaking of hooves... his had begun to tingle.

How marvellous! Such an auspicious start to the day!

“Good day to you,” he called across the snow and angled his forward trot to make sure they met. “May I have a word?”

A dark but brightly colored buck approached. "Ah, good day!" Glasswing said. The sparkling lights around the buck reminded him of those glowing mushrooms he'd seen a few fashion-forward kin sporting. How festive! He must also be on his way to the Winter market. The kimeti buck tilted his head. "Of course, how can I help you?"

He was quite the handsome young lad, Once Forgotten thought to himself as the space between them decreased. Though surely such a large amount of hair would get annoying. Not now during winter, when it could keep you warm, but such luscious locks were sure to collect a fair amount of sticks and leaves.

It was very pretty though.

The bright lights danced merrily around Once Forgotten’s head as he tipped it in greeting, slowing to a halt in front of the buck. “Well met, stranger! This may come as some shock to you but,” his smile was very wide and pleased, “you are to be a father! And I, chosen by the MotherFather to spread her blessings, would like to assist you!”

Glasswing blinked. How did he know... "Oh! Oh! You're a legendary," he said, excitement growing in his delicate voice as the bright buck spoke. He was very happy to be a father. "While I had some suspicions, it is nice to confirm... My lady and I have been, well, you know." He laughed. They had been trying, and with winter on them now he wanted to care for her as best he could.

"I am grateful for your assistance." He bowed his head. "What must I do for you?"

Once Forgotten was pleased to hear that the buck was not only aware but also happy about his future offspring. And oh, he did know.

“Absolutely nothing,” he beamed. “Oh well, there is one thing. Promise me you’ll care for and raise your children well and with love.”

Glasswing brightened. "Of course! My children will be wonderful, and I will see to it they are loved." Their children, his lady, he loved so much, like his father before him. It would be his first time but hopefully not his last.

Once Forgotten was delighted to find and bless a father just as devoted as himself.

“Then may they be blessed,” he said, smiling broadly, “with good health and happiness!”

They didn’t need anything extra. There was no extra boon that could compete with having dedicated parents.

“You will do very well as a father,” he assured. “And now, I’m off to the winter market.” He was really craving those chicken drumsticks.
