Never a particularly warlike Totoma, he nevertheless found his place in the tribe in his preparations for the cold mountain winters. He was always willing to huddle up next to a cold Totoma, friend or foe, to protect them from the elements. After all, it was the least he could do.
He earned his name one harsh winter like any other. When one of his tribemates found an abandoned, frozen half to death lamb that had its leg stuck between rocks no one Totoma could move, he was the one who stayed by its side and kept it warm, protecting it through the winter storm. Once the storm was over, the whole tribe worked together to move the boulders and free the lamb. But he in particular was given his name for his willingness to brave the storm and keep the little one warm.
While he was never able to tame the great eagles of the sky, he always had a way with the land-dwelling creatures of the mountains. He is known for his small pack of loyal (if sometimes bickering) hunters who always play their part in helping to hunt down meat to store for the winter.
