And then she very casually slipped in, "Nice eyes."

Those nice eyes widened with surprise and then narrowed into something a little more sultry.

This was an extra special good mood.

His chest puffed out and his muscles tensed, just to show off his very toned Legendary Kiokote physique. He hoped she would appreciate the hard work that had gone into running all over the swamp and then having a really long nightmare nap. It had certainly filled him with a lot more... vigour than normal.

“Would you... like a closer look?” He asked with an arched brow, and then couldn't help but sigh longingly. "I've missed you."

"I've seen enough," she said, archly, but that was just because she was contrary by nature.

She did not say she missed him too, although it was possible (and would've been very deserved if) she'd missed him even more than he'd missed her, what with the decrease in hot dinners and increase in having to deal with their ornery children when he hadn't been around.

But she did move closer, despite what she'd said.

Because she had missed him.

And because her lifemate was a very fit and attractive buck, and now an even fitter and more attractive stag.

Cue Queue was the ultimate tsundere contrarian and Once Forgotten wasn’t at all bothered by her initial refusal because he suspected that - ah yes, the step closer. There it was.

He was feeling very fine and fancy, very desirable and it showed in the way he also stepped forward, head high and the rainbows in his eyes sparkling.

“Let me show you anyway.”

Some time later, a very content Once Forgotten stepped out of their little hideaway to find that it was now dusk.

As he did so, a moth drifted past on floaty wings, just going about its moth business, and for a moment, he felt a connection. His post-Cue glow very much made him feel as if was also floating and quite capable of being untethered from the earth.

Once Forgotten smiled dreamily.

“Moths are nice,” he said to the space beside him.

Cue, feeling very satiated, and very satisfied, took her time to unfold and shake herself out.

She nodded airily at the passing moth as she leisurely stepped into the aforementioned space.

In her supremely good mood, she generously said, "We can get one, if you want."

A moth would be a definite upgrade over that ornery caiman that still followed him around.

He leaned in with a casual touch of his shoulder to hers and said, "I would like that."
