"With child!"

He gasped, "a fish!

"Why, I...I can't say whether she'll come back," his mind had various thoughts rushing through them, but morbid curiousity took hold of him, and out of his mouth spilled unintentionally, "...but we could look into your dreams, and perhaps divine what she might do...?"

Heart beating fast, he stepped deliberately into the pool of swampy water and hopefully awaited his approval for some sordid visions.

Look into his dreams and divine what she might do?

Awesome!

(Weather to Fly was an impressionable Kin.)

"Okay," he said, and splished into the pool.

Indeed, a wondrous vision of the lovely fishy doe magically welled and rippled across the dull water.

"Isn't she adorable?" he sighed.

When the vision emerged, Thunder breathed in sharply to stop himself from lifting his hoof in absolute horror. Though foolish, this buck was a true degenerate! In his mind's eye, he had anthropomorphised the fish as a doe! Amidst the turmoil within himself, he said in response:

"Wow."

And that was all he could say, watching the image of her fishy eyes ripple.

"Yeah," he sighed.

And then it finally dawned on his birdbrain that this was an supernatural power.

"Are you..." he said, peering at the big Kiokote with wide, new eyes, "a Legendary?"

He slowly removed his hoof, the vision disappearing into soft ripples.

"Yes," he said, with some rare fear of what was to be requested of him.

There was no way to hide it - he was so big and handsome and also his eyes were glowing very hard.

"That means you can bless us, right?" Weather to Fly's waggling tailfeathers sent little plumes across the pool, "ohhh, bless us! Bless us! Just in case - you know."

I don't know, he thought dimly and insistently, his mind a whirlwind. Yet, the Motherfather granted him such a power, and so he would...give...it.

"I am unsure if it would help," he grimace-smiled, "but I'll do my best."

His eyes looked to the sky, beseeching, pleading for release, and his hesitant but no less loud voice rang out, "hear ye, Motherfather, your children beg your kindness!

"Let this buck's....................potential offspring be full of...of....joy, and innocence,
" to what he has done, "and let them live their lives fully and love just as...just as you love...ALL creatures of your world.

"Just as all creatures love...each other.
"

Thunder turned his smile towards him again, now advanced to a mildly nervy but helpful grin.

"...Good luck!"

He had a lot to tell Tidings about today.

Weather watched, gaping, through the Legendary's very loud conversation with the Motherfather.

"You can just talk to Her like that?" he said, "could you ask Her to help me fly?"

I mean, he was mostly thinking about his cute fish today, but otherwise he was thinking about flying.

"I'm afraid it's mostly baby things," he tilted his head with that still-nervous smile, unwilling to ask more of the Motherfather given that he just blessed a kin's relationship with a fish, "but I'm sure She hears you, too."

He turned abruptly to gaze into the distance.

"Mm yes, I believe it is time for me to take my leave.

"Good luck with flying," he couldn't even start to parse that, "and good luck with your...fish."

Distant Thunder galloped off majestically before his Swamp-given powers were taken from him due to rampant abuse.

Good thing too, since She was the one who made him to fly in the first place.

"Thank you!" he called after the Kiokote, and splashed out of the water to daydream some more about his cute fish.

He couldn't try to fly again before he'd dried off, after all - but next go. Next go it'd happen, and then he'd go find Suffocate and tell her all about the wonderful blessing they'd gotten for their maybe - hopefully? eheh - kids.

(Dear reader: Next go it did not happen. It was never going to happen.)
