The Stars Sing to the Moon was pretty sure this slimy mushroom was no good, but what if it was? Curiosity got the better of her and she gave it a nibble.
She doesn't know how long she was out, but her head feels cloudy and she only vaguely remembers trying the odd fungus. After a few minutes getting her bearings, Stars Sing gets up and continues her search.
Some small animals seem upset by her presence, they spend a good amount of time harassing her. Not that they get much, the only mushroom she has is the slimy one. Stars Sing goes to search elsewhere in any case.
Something has got to be wrong, as badly as this trip has been, but now a large log full of good mushrooms? Surely this is too good to be true! Stars Sing takes a small nibble from each mushroom as she gathers it, wanting to be completely sure they're fine to give Bash. After a while passes and nothing bad happens, she considers the mushrooms truly safe and continues along.
Another slimy mushroom. This one looks different from the last though, and isn't one Stars Sing is familiar with. One small bite won't hurt, right?
Some time later, Stars Sings wakes up, head fuzzy again and feeling like she's lost some memories. Looking around, she realizes she has also lost some of the good mushrooms. With a sigh, she gathers thenfew she has left and continues on.
Some mongeese have appeared, each one carrying a mushroom or two. The small creatures run up, one by one, drop their offerings at her feet, then run off. Stars Sing is a little bewildered by this. None the less, she takes the offered gifts and moves along.
A third slimy mushroom. It looks sort of like the first, but maybe it's different? Maybe its good? Not having learned her lesson, Stars Sing takes a nibble. And wakes up just as dusk settles over the swamp. Head cloudy, limbs heavy, and some mushrooms missing.
Taking the hint, Stars Sing gathers her last remaining mushrooms and heads back to Bash.
