Stars Under Water had taken on a quest to gather some gems. The cave was closer than she thought, and she arrived pretty quickly. Still enough daylight to go a decent way in. Stars sets down the abandoned bird's nest she found to carry her prize back in, and started gathering glittering stones.
Precious Gems
Bash knows that some kin like to trade using precious gems as a bargaining tool - he has no need for them besides this. There's a cave near by that has many gems and crystals that are easily collected with a swift kick. See how many you can grab and bring them to Bash in exchange for a reward.

Stars knows some kin won't find this gem too impressive. She thinks its pretty, though, so she gathers it and carefully sets it in the nest before searching for more.
Stars Under Water wasn't prepared for the shrieking bat, clawing and biting at her. In the scuffle she knocked over the nest, scattering the gems collected so far.
When the bat finally left, Stars could only find one of the crystals she had collected. Time to start over, she moves along the cave wall, trying to be quiet so she doesn't disturb another bat.
Stars was pretty sure she was lost, and maybe that should worry her. But right now she is too busy harvesting this huge gem she found, one shard at a time.
Stars wanders for a bit, wondering if maybe she really is lost. But then, she sees a familiar patch of wall. This is where she found the dull gem last time. And look! There's another one. She scoops it up and continues on her search for shiny things.
Finding another dull gem, Stars wonders if maybe this whole section of wall is made up of them. Maybe she should try prying bits from the wall itself to see.
Stars is so distracted she doesn't see the floor is full of shale, and dips down. She slips, spilling her gems. She's gathers them back up, but a quick count reveals she has lost one. Oh well, she still has seven, that's a lot.
She continues searching.

((Going to roll in batches now to reduce posts. First 1 I roll ends the search.))
Wow, I should really watch the ground, Stars thinks as she picks herself back up. This is the second time in just a few minutes that she has slipped on loose rocks. What's worse, she sees she has lost another gem.
Just as she starts searching again, several bats fly out and chase her off. Once she gets away, Stars realizes she only has two gems left.
Trying not to get discouraged, Stars continues on her way, searing for gems, loose stones and bats.

Stars feels like she is going in circles, isn't this where she found the first gem? Or maybe not. There are two shiny, but plain, crystals here. She gathers them and then turns the corner.
And almost runs into a crystal as bit as her head. She spends the next few minutes digging it out of the wall. It lands with a crash and shatters into several large pieces and many tiny shards.
Leaving the shards, Stars gathers the large pieces and continues down the passage.
Stars finds another dull crystal, and then promptly slides down a small gravel hill, losing two gems. She wonders for just a moment if she should give up. But what if the next corner is a whole cavern of gems? So she keeps going.

Somehow Stars is right back at the entrance, the last light of day shining in. There, she sees a glint of sparkle, and picks up a crystal. Possibly one of the ones she had dropped earlier.
Not wanting to be in the cave all night, Stars decides that now is a good time to leave.
