[B] No rest for the wicked. (Wicked Game & Watch Me)

Wicked was the type of buck to love them and leave them so for all he knew he had plenty of kids out in the swamp. This time though, he'd stuck around a little longer than was usual for him, his attention had been snagged by Make Believe in a way other does (and bucks) hadn't managed to this point.

So he was more than a little caught off guard to find out she was expecting, and a part of him thought about running, slipping away, going back to his carefree life, without any ties but another part of him, the larger part was curious and he decided to stick around, to help and to wait and see.

Now, at the urging of another kin, he was out here looking for a hard to find entity in the swamp, to get a blessing for the new life that was on its way. He wasn't entirely sure how he felt about this, but he shouldered the responsibility well enough, for being such a free spirited kin who traveled according to his whims.

"I'M COMING!"

It was a bellow that startled birds from the trees and sent small creatures running to hide, it was the mighty call of one stag, his voice unnaturally loud and reaching its target long before he was ever seen. Watch Me was in a fine mood and in tiptop shape for his next blessing and currently making a birdbeeline towards the Acha back with a mixture of flying and galloping.

"I AM COMING TO BLESS YOU. PLEASE STAY WHERE YOU ARE."

It was all well and good to feel the call to find a parent-to-be but if they were also searching, wandering this way and that, it often made things harder than necessary, and he was oh so keen for a new blessing. So if the kin in question could just very kindly stop moving about and wait, Watch Me would arrive in no time at all.

To say he was surprised by the sudden yelling would be an understatement. It made him jump a little and spin around looking for the source of the voice with wide eyes.

"That....was weird." he muttered under his breath a little.

But he decided to listen to the request, for now. He was in rare form today, willing to listen and be helpful rather than an ornery shit.

So he instead decided to help himself to a few of the berries he spotted nearby. Even if the owner of the very loud voice didn't show up, he at least had gotten a quick snack in before he kept wandering!

With the buck thankfully heeding Watch Me's yelled request, the Legendary arrived in good time. He flapped into the area as a bird and immediately did a delighted circle around Wicked's head. An Acha, perfect! And a very handsome one at that.

"I am here!" He announced, upon shifting, dropping to the ground neatly beside the buck.

"...what?" Wicked was surprised by the bird turning to a kin beside him and he appraised Watch Me a long moment. "I...did not expect that."
It was simple, honest truth from him as he stared at the kio a long moment.

"That was you I heard before?" Obviously, by the whole 'I am here!' thing, but well, he was confused, it couldn't be helped just then.

It took him a few moments before he shook himself out of his confusion. "Well, I'm glad you're here. I think I was looking for you!"

“I can be quite unexpected,” said the Kiokote stag with a suggestive raising of his brows, though what exactly he was suggesting with that would be anyone's guess. 

“That was me you heard,” Watch Me told him, more than pleased with his new ability to project his voice so far and loud. “And we were both searching for each other! As I am here to bless you and your future offspring!”

"That's very impressive. I didn't know a kin could be so loud." it wasn't something he'd ever experienced before. This information was tucked away, though it really didn't have a use to him just then.

"Oh good! This is all new to me, and why I was looking. Though, when I was sent to look I wasn't exactly told what, or who...just to go look." a soft laugh from him as he gave Watch an appreciative look. "I'm enjoying what I see." a low chuckle given. "How does this whole blessing thing work anyhow?"

If the advice floating around was 'just go and look', no wonder all the various legendaries were exhaustively tromping up and down the swamp. There really should be a better system in place. But that was a discussion to be had later because right now Watch Me was being complimented and his chest puffed out that little bit more.

"Well, it's all very simple. I shall beseech the MotherFather for your offspring to be granted a boon." He smiled indulgently. "What would you like? Singing? Dancing? Good looks? She's very open to suggestions."

He wasn't entirely sure what the best thing to ask for was, and well he figured he ought to maybe take Make Believe's feelings into account here as far as things went.

"All very good suggestions those." he praised Watch Me, a thoughtfulness to his words. "Trying to think what Make Believe would like....maybe singing? Singing is good, right?" singing could be good. It was certainly more interesting than 'happiness' or 'health' because those seemed a little more difficult. But singing, that could keep them entertained, and that could help with happiness. So it was like two in one right there!

“Singing is wonderful!” Watch Me assured him eagerly. “A very good skill to have. Plus I can guarantee that your children will be more than welcome to join my tribe and spread their lovely voice far and wide.”

He cleared his throat, lifting his head beseechingly to the swamp around them and sang,

“May your children be born strong,
with their voices lifted high in song.
Blessed they shall be today,
a gift for darlings on their way.
Sing loud and full of endless cheer,
for everyone from far to near!”

It wasn’t too bad for an impromptu song and the birds around them seemed to have enjoyed it. Watch Me, glowing with pride at his own accomplishment, looked back at the Acha back and declared, “It is done!”

"Then lets go with singing, yes." he gave a relieved nod of his head moments before Watch Me broke into song, surprising him yet again.

He hadn't known what to expect but that hadn't been it. Still it brought a laugh and a smile to his face. "Thank you, I think that's absolutely wonderful. I'm sure Make Believe will be happy too."  so he hoped, anyhow.

"You're very welcome," Watch Me said humbly, bowing to his audience of one.

"Come visit me at The Royal Rainbow Troupe some time!"

Then he was a bird again, flying away to find someone else to bless or woo, whichever came first.
