she plays with the wind as it swirls around her
a duet, light on her feet as a breeze
dancing with an unseen partner
the wind caresses her face and she laughs in delight
an endless dance, no beginning and no end
and always with the wind

sunlight in the swamp is filtered through the dense canopy, soft and wispy as if only half-real
it's when one steps into a rare clearing that sunlight's full impact can be seen
enough to make one delirious for its brightness and heat and blinding light
(don't look into the sun, it will make you mad)

shelter from the rains of winter
you are safe and warm and dry, but there is little joy in your heart
some still suffer out there
and you can't shelter them all

the ghost approaches
softly translucent glow against the blackness of night
its face is hollow and void of emotion
its mouth is open in an eternal scream
but there is no sound
the silence is deafening, isn't it?

the moon is falling!
in tiny little delicate flakes
it touches the ground
and reflects the light from its source
that's where snow comes from

a valley exists between Heart and Mind
sometimes the two are connected across it
sometimes (most times) not
that's where the Soul comes it
like a lance
