Welcome to the Pridelands, a large stretch of dry land near the border of the Swamp and the Plains. Here, the five prides fight for dominance and survival alongside their feline familiars. Combat is essential here, a pillar that holds up the tribe. It not only decides who is strongest, and who leads, but also pushes them to improve themselves. Pushes them forward.

[ The Common Grounds ] - A shared part of the territory where the prides come together to share news, perform ceremonies, and hold official battles.

[ Cheetah Territory ] - Full of wide-open spaces that are great for races and chases. The pride that lives here keeps their nests well hidden and keep an eye on their borders from high places.

[ Lion Territory ] - Hiding under shady trees, the Lion Pride makes their nests. They are efficient hunters, often working together in groups. There is a lot of infighting here, however, due to having multiple male lions in close proximity.

[ Lynx Territory ] - No one knows their territory like the Lynx Pride does. These precise hunters are solitary by nature, only coming together by need or by ritual. They are built to outlast their prey.

[ Owlcat Territory ] - High in the canopy, bright and knowing eyes are always on you while in the Owlcat Pride's territory. It is from their perches in the high branches that the Owlcats sweep down their prey, providing their owners with the kill once the poor creature falls.

[ Ramcat Territory ] - Located in one of the drier, stony places, the Ramcat Pride make their homes in the ravine far north. They are defensive in nature, but skilled hunters despite their small size.

Upgrading Dice:
1d6 - 1RP
1d8 - 2RP
1d10 - 4RP

Dice have a cap of 1d10.
To fully upgrade a stat costs 3500words of RP. Each upgrade must be done in separate roleplay.

Upgrading HP:

Upgrading HP always results in a +2 to the base.

1st Upgrade - 1RP
2nd Upgrade - 2RP
3rd Upgrade - 3RP
4th Upgrade - 4RP
5th Upgrade - 5RP

HP maxes at 20 before bonuses. You need 7500 words to max HP.

DEF maxes at 7 before bonuses. You need 10500 words to max DEF.

Pets automatically deal 1 damage when you attack.

Battle Procedure:

Before the fight, both players size each other up, looking for weaknesses. Both make an INT roll. Whoever gets the higher roll gets to add +1 to a stat of their choice OR have their pet deal +1 damage.

Each round, both players make a SPD roll to decide who goes first. Then damage is rolled by both players. If it meets or beats the defenders DEF, that much damage + pet damage is dealt. If both players would reach 0HP in the same round, the winner of that round's SPD roll is the winner of the battle.

Battles have RP rewards.

Rank Notes:

-Leader
[left-indent]Leader of each Pride is decided via combat once per season. An announcement will be made and during this event any kin in the same pride can challenge the current leader.

A leader's job is political and martial. Every month, the leaders of each pride gather at the Common Place and discuss tribal matters. Territroy disputes, attacks on other tribes, natural disasters displacing a pride, etc. New members are also celebrated and rank changes are announced here.[/left-indent]

-Healer
[left-indent]Healer's don't typically take part in battle, though they are trained in combat just as everyone else. Instead, they spend their time ensuring that kin live to fight another day, bringing new children into the world, and tending to those who fell, in battle or not.[/left-indent]

-Wardens [Hunters, Gatherers, Builders, Caretakers, Warriors]
[left-indent]The Wardens are the highest-ranking kin of each role. Unlike the leader's these kin can be challenged at any time.

A warden's job is to lead within their role.
  • The Warden of Hunting will send out hunting parties and ensure that no area is picked clean.
  • The Builder will see to it that their Pridemates are assigned work and that materials are in order.
  • The Caretaking Warden checks in on the mothers and dictates the lessons the children will be learning that day.
  • The lead Gatherer will send out kin and make sure needed materials return with them.
  • And the Warden of Warriors conducts training of both Pridemates and Young while also conducting border patrols.
  [/left-indent]

-Elders
[left-indent]Elders are given the same respect as Wardens and their wisdom is often sought after by Clan leaders. Elders are not required to perform daily duties, as they have served their clan to their fullest capability.

A player may have their kin become an Elder only after they have maxed out their upgrades OR received an injury that would leave them unable to fight.[/left-indent]

-Pridemates
[left-indent]The main body of each clan. These are the able-bodied fighters that make the Pridelands their home. Every kin has a job and a Warden to report to.
  • The Hunters are in charge of bringing back fresh-kill to feed their clan.
  • The Builders maintain the clan's territory. They do everything from clearing out blocked rivers to maintaining the nests of their pridemates.
  • The Caretakers of the clan teach the young of the tribe and care for expecting parents.
  • Gatherers forage for their clans, be it for fruits and nuts to feed them or materials for building.
  • Warriors spend their days patrolling the borders of their territories, fending off other clans or other predators.
[/left-indent]

-Young
[left-indent]The children of the tribe. While not given formal jobs, it is their duty to learn all aspects of clan life to better help them choose their path once they've grown old enough.[/left-indent]
