[imgright]https://matope.pixel-blueberry.com/imag ... ke_ane.gif[/imgright] Lightning Strike had turned docile in her solitude and loneliness. It didn’t quite suit her for she had dreamed of the sureness of a lightning strike, of sharp canines crunching down into pliable skin and taut muscle. Slowly, the confidence crept in again but not for this.
The possibility of that nightmare coming true, it pierced through bone. She wasn’t going to sit by idle and see what the future held. No. In this, she would demand the Motherfather bent down and ensured the survival of the wolves she carried in her womb. She would give birth to five healthy children.
It was difficult to convince either of them to stay; it was a miracle that eventually both did. This was a trial for her alone to undertake. It had been her nightmare and it would be her to set it out of the realm of reality. For all of them.
It hadn’t quite yet been dawn when she set off but now the sun was high. And she really had no idea if she was going in the right direction. Could there be a right direction to seek someone, something, you had never met? She would find out.

Re: [BLESS] Insurance (Lightning Strike x Look-See)
Look-See once heard some blithering mad kin say that chaos finds you and that you don't go looking for it. But when someone was traipsing through her neck of the woods, she took notice. It sounded as if a heard of boars were barreling through. Every snapped twig and crunched underbrush announced their arrival. They sounded heavy and not light on their feet. The sun was at its zenith and offered blessed warmth from the too cold days. Making her way to all the commotion, Look-See came across another kin. One more sensible than her. This kin was extra furry, with a pelt not quite her own. All blurry neutrals, the very pregnant doe radiated unease.
Look-See stared and waited. She was never one to underestimate the power of silence in negotiations.

Re: [BLESS] Insurance (Lightning Strike x Look-See)
It was impossible to be stealthy or quiet in her condition so it was no wonder that she was heard. She'd tried at first but her weight and gracelessness were more than she could combat right now. Rather she hoped anyone bothered by her noise would take into consideration how much else she had to worry about.
The sense of being watched, though, that brought her full attention to her surroundings. She didn't let out so much as a breath as she took in the white mare. She was bright and beautiful and littered with flowers. It was natural and romantic but she felt no desire there. Only appreciation and awe.
Lightning Strike bowed her head, unwilling to attempt more than that. She would surely topple over, otherwise.
"Hello, I was hoping you could help me," she started and then stalled. What if the doe wanted something? She hadn't brought a gift...

Look-See smiled. She couldn't help it. She enjoyed young foals. They were adorable and carefree with their thoughts and movements.
But still, she waited. Blessings came in all colors of the rainbow.

No response, no words. She felt her body give into nerves as her hooves shuffled and dug at the ground. It did no good; the ground was still frozen.
It was an odd feeling that she could not quite place. She wasn't fearful nor calm. She wondered if she was doing something wrong or if this mare did not speak. There was a lot to life she had yet to understand after years of solitude and melancholia. Instead she waited. Eventually something would happen or one of them would leave.

Being a little unkind, Look-See smirked, "So, you came into my home to stare?" She teased in a gentle voice as nearby willow trees trailed their long limbs over the doe' and mare's flanks.

"No," the reply was firm but the heat that covered her cheeks made her bow her head again. She was poor at this.
"I had a nightmare that I don't wish to come true. I came to ask you to make sure these children are born alive and healthy," she explained.

Re: [BLESS] Insurance (Lightning Strike x Look-See)
Visits were rare and blessings were becoming even more nonexistant. Look-See was rusty, but true and steadfast. It was good to have new young to usher in the old and new ways.
"A little birdy told me sunflowers grow facing the sun, and if they can't find the sun, they face each other. You will birth 5 fierce ones who will protect, nourish, and encourage each other. And while they may venture off for their own adventures, they will always find each other. They'll always be pack."
Look-See used the glowing stones near her hooves to take her to the patch she looked for. Clipping a water lily, she presented it to the ruffled doe. "For some relaxation for your growing days."

Re: [BLESS] Insurance (Lightning Strike x Look-See)
"Thank you," the doe breathed, blinking back tears of gratitude that threatened to spill. She'd fretted and worried for so long about the nightmare and then when the chance had presented itself as a real possibility... It wasn't, now.
Lightning Strike took the water lily gratefully and, presumptuously, pressed her cheek against the mare's in thanks. She would remember this and, one day, she would return with a gift for this mare who had brought her comfort and joy.
