[S] Preparations [Handsome Killl]

It was about time to prepare for a new companion. Handsome Kill loved her foxbuns (stupid as they were) and Thorn held her whole heart, but...
It seemed they needed more company.
Or, really, Thorn seemed lonely.
And Handsome Kill could always use more support.

So she took to making a nest around where she set up her den.
Her father did well in teaching her how to stay safe, out of sight, and to be upwind.
Handsome Kill doubted anyone might find her long-term hiding spot.
That is, unless she wanted someone there.

Thorn would go off on her own during the day, and sometimes brought back the odd stick that could be added to the den space.

The foxbuns continued to do little more than look cute. Thorn would chase them when getting bored and restless. Handsome Kill would tell the muskwolf to knock it off.

Yes, it was about time that Thorn had a friend of some sort.

Handsome Kill took time out of her days to keep everyone fed, but other than that, continued to work.

Add some leaves there, some sticks there (for support). Some pelts, some dirt and mud (for foundation)...
Some feathers for either decor or something to chew on, it didn't matter to her any.

She took care to make the nest not exactly like her own or Thorn's (the foxbuns curled up with Howling Curses, so she didn't worry about that; though perhaps she should make sure whatever joined them did not try to eat the little idiots).

At the end of it, she found herself rather caked up in dirt and disheveled, but it looked proper enough.

Or, really, Thorn kept nosing at it as if she wanted to sleep there herself.

After Handsome Kill shooed the muskwolf off, she considered her job done.

Time to rest, and go on a new journey in the morning.
