The Fashion Tribe of...BIRD BIRD FISH

Do you have a passion for fashion? Do you like to throw bunches of feathers onto a Kin's back and pray they stick?
Would you glue strips of bark to each other with sap and drape it over a horn in the name of style?
Or do you like others to throw bunches of feathers together onto your back and pray they stick?
Would you stand still for extended periods of time letting Kin perch strange creations upon you,
then carefully strut up and down a path trying to show them off to the best of your ability before they slough away?
Or do you like to look at these strange things happen and pontificate at length about the beauty - or lack thereof - in these artful works?

If you answer to any of these questions is yes, you could be a Designer, a Model, and/or a Critic - and Bird Bird Fish is the tribe for you!

TL;DR :: Founded by three variously-accessoried friends, Bird Bird Fish is a supportive commune for artistic endeavour and exchange - each member's experience at Bird Bird Fish may be as collaborative or as independent as they make it. The tribe aims to provide an ideal environment for the pursuit of fashion by providing support, supplies, and shows: an active community that allows designers, models, critics - and mixes of all three - to feed off each other's work and vision, regular supplies of commonly needed materials such as pelts, feathers, and bones acquired from Rise & Shine, and grand seasonal fashion shows held every three moon cycles to showcase new fashion creations (see Post Four)! We may not be able to turn into mongooses like Never Idle and craft beautiful and permanent accessories*, but we've got hooves and mouths and occasionally painstakingly trained pets and we're not afraid to use them! What could possibly go wrong?!

*OOC Note :: PLEASE remember that Never Idle is an NPC Legendary with exceptional abilities to create permanent accessories and our Kin are not - fashion creations by members of the tribe should always be IC-ly appropriate and reasonable and should not approach the standard of Never Idle's wares! Thank you!

JOIN US ::

There are three general divisions, each headed by a founder - all tribe members must choose a main division, but they may then proceed to work as up to all three as the founders themselves do.

DESIGNERS :: Headed by Leaping Fish
The ones who design and create the accessories to decorate Kin with.
Requirements: The desire to design and create accessories. Any accessories. Out of anything.
Any one can be a designer as long as you want to make something to put on a Kin (or maybe even pet!).
Designers are expected to acquire additional materiels required themselves, though other tribe members may be persuaded to help.

MODELS :: Headed by Wildering Dove
The ones who parade the accessories that the Designers decorate them with.
Requirements: The willingness and/or patience to be decorated with accessories. Which may be uncomfortable and/or made from very dubious materials.
Any one can be a model as long as you're willing to put up with accessories that may be very unwise.
* Kin with unusual features (e.g. edits, unusual markings...) may be especially sought after by certain designers, but this is an extra feature, not a requirement.

CRITICS :: Headed by Madding Crow
The ones who judge - uh, talk about the accessories that are created and how they are presented.
Requirements: A critical and scholarly interest in assessing fashion and expressing your views on it to others.
Madding Crow believes in...uh...tough love, but the other founders disagree - any sort of thoughtful assessment is acceptable for joining the Critics...though the school of hard judging is very much alive, it is only one school of thought...

Additional responsibilites for all members ::
:: The tribe seeks to maintain regular supplies of commonly needed materials such as pelts, feathers, and bones from Rise & Shine. These materials are traded for with goods and services, and tribe members, although not strictly governed, are expected to pitch in to fulfil the exchange wherever possible. The bulk of the exchange comprises collections of fruits, herbs, and other edibles, such as prey if anyone can actually catch anything.
:: All tribe members are encouraged to be present, participate in, and help out for the Seasonal Bird Bird Fish Fashion Show.

She and her three helpful pets specialize in cleaning, detangling, and styling hair. You'll never catch her near the runway.

Acute and talk talk talkative, Option crafts designs with meaning  - sometimes sacrificing looks in the process.

A very hard worker and will not stop until his goals are met.

A clever  but dour, sharp and hot-tempered buck with high standards and low expectations that everyone always manages to fail.

Lies Are Beautiful . Moonstone Dazzle . Critic
A doe who sees beauty as the most important thing- if not everything, really. She has no patience for ugliness, but her taste in beauty may be questionable.

Walking After Midnight . Mika_Yumi . Critic/Model
A sweet, but intense perfectionist doe who believes in constructive criticism and always striving for your best.

Airs and Graces . andraia . Critic/Model
A prissy stick in the mud. Comes off a bit holier-than-thou, if we're being honest, but it's all just an act... probably.

Groundbreak . phoenix kiss . Critic
With a natural eye for fashion, but a big mouth, Groundbreak's criticism is constructive... if he gets a chance to think it over before accidentally insulting someone.

The Final Word . Lirilei . Critic
Highly critical, and usually not in a nice way. He can't believe the things kin try to get away with wearing, and they need to know his thoughts about it.

GRAND SEASONAL FASHION SHOW ::

Every three moon cycles, with the turn of the seasons, all of Bird Bird Fish (who show up, anyway) come together to put on a grand show - a grand fashion show, of course! Bartering help from Rise & Shine, and sometimes even the Royal Rainbow Troupe, it is a party to be reckoned with, and at the centre of it all is the great runway - where the fruits of the tribe members' labours are put on resplendent display for all! Designers toil to doll their Models up in their greatest works of the season, and send them trotting down the great stage, showing their creations off to best effect! Then Critics (verbally) tear the hell out of them. It's a spectacle not to be missed! 8D

Participation in the Grand Seasonal Fashion Show, while greatly encouraged, is not mandatory. Aside from the GSFS, designers may also choose to put on their own independent shows, band up for smaller shows, or just display their goods and/or peddle their wares directly.

OOC :: Okay, we had originally considered a small event every three months to simulate the GSFS, where we would invite tribe members to submit in-universe fashion concepts, hold a popular vote, and possibly reward the winner with simple art of it. But it did not happen at all, so it probably never will, unless there's a sudden boom. But consider this an IC part of the tribe.
