[B] Bone Chewer/Drink It Up & Bitter Heartbeat [fin]

Drink It Up and Bone Chewer were over joyed to learn that she was pregnant, because though it meant more mouths for the tribe to feed, it also meant more mouths to educate in the variety of tastes the swamp had to offer, and all the better if it was their own offspring who got to benefit from what they felt was extensive knowledge.

Drink, hoped their offspring would have an unquenchable thirst for life, while Bone hoped that any children would have an insatiable appetite for life. Basically they hoped any kids they had would be full of passion and determination like them, willing to forge their own paths even if done unconventionally.

It started off a light nuisance that made him twitch his fur in irritation then gradually grew until sleep was no longer possible. He yawned, maw gaping wide, before looking down to spy the two kimeti that had stopped to, unknowingly think loudly about children. Not that he really heard their thoughts. He just felt the joy and nerves and wants which made his head rattle just a little bit. It was easier to focus on one kin at a time. Two required more mediation.

He frowned; he'd have to climb down to get to them. He didn't feel like it but neither did he feel like being a stag just now either. Oh well. Climbing it was.

It was probably quicker than it felt and he had to keep himself from trying to shout that he was coming--kimeti didn't tend to respond well to even his little bear self growling out a protest. He didn't want to end up chasing them either. It ended up too much work usually. Which was fine; except for today.

Eventually, he came into view, dropping the last bit of the way and turning to stare at the two. He smiled--or tried to--and waited for them to greet him.

Drink It Up saw the mini bear coming before Bone Chewer and he lightly nudged her attention towards it. Laughing softly at her sudden "Cuuuuute..." coo at the bear. He'd never seen one either so was fascinated for a moment, until he realized the bear seemed to be looking at them with a certain intelligence most animals of the swamp didn't possess and he lightly nudged her again with a nod of his head. "It's... oh!" she sounded sheepish now for cooing at what was obviously one of the swamps chosen in their presence and she gave a soft laugh. "Sorry you caught me off guard." well it was true.

Drink gave a low chuckle, he didn't often see her caught off guard and it was endearing to him really. He took a little step forward bowing his head in deference. "If it's not too much trouble, I... no we come seeking a blessing for the life she carries." "We've been talking about what we hoped for our kid, or kids as they grew, if they decided to stay with our tribe, or not and well..." "We just want it, them, to be full of passion and determination in life, willing to forge their own path. Even if unconventionally." "Exactly. I don't know if that's too specific or not...or if you have a better idea... such a cute bear, oh Mother-Father..." she couldn't help herself and ducked her head in mild embarrassment as she got side tracked. Again.

Bitter Heartbeat preened a little at the cooing; he wasn't at all vain but his other form didn't garner near so much enthusiasm. Not that there was anything wrong with his caiman form. He'd once been blind to their brilliance and beauty, too.

The mini bear listened intently and was glad to see they had reached a consensus. He consented to approach the doe and nuzzle against her front legs.

"There may be a little more, I think," he added after a moment of thought. "Your children will be healthy and strong of mind, they shall know their desires and be courageous to attain them, and they shall know their parents and from where they come whether they decide to reside their or not," he spoke in a calm measured tone. That should make them rather well-rounded but not so much that they wouldn't have things to learn.

The pair saw the bear preening and there was relief from Bone Chewer that she hadn't said or done the wrong thing. You never knew how others would handle things after all.

Being nuzzled at made her lower her head and she nuzzled lightly at the bears ear a content note from her and a smile. "Definitely cute." she chuckled softly.

The stag appearing had her lifting her head even as the mini bear stayed close and she gave a smile even as Drink startled just a little at the sudden voice.

The two of them though felt relieved that not only was what they requested deemed suitable, but that the stag had also added onto it. "Thank you so much!" "Yes thank you indeed!" she leaned down and nuzzled the mini bears ear again with a laugh. "I could take this little one home with us...simply adorable." "You'd have finding all the foods that were loved wouldn't you?" "Of course!" the pair bantered lightly for a moment.

Finally they both dipped their heads. "Have safe journeys through the swamp!" "Thank you again!"
