Rp response: This was it! Her time to shine! Nothing like hopping around and whipping berries at other unsuspecting kins! Alluring Charm's tail wiggled in excitement! She couldn't help that she was competitive like her father. Far off squawks and splats could be heard, it made Allure all the more ready to get into the game and participate. Who would be her victim(s)? Hopefully her fur won't get too damaged, she shook her head and focused back into the game. "Alright, here goes nothing!" Grabbing some berries of her own, Allure began to aim.

Friend of the Dead watched the buck as he stood there but didn't stray far from Guardian of Souls side. Guardian's ears flicked as she watched the interaction between the two. "Not interrupting at all." Even though he had arrived after she had spoken to Sweet Hereafter she felt as though she was the one interrupting them.
As she listened to him speak to Hereafter she couldn't help but smile, it was nice, the way he was sweet on her. At least, that was how it felt to her. "It's nice to meet you, I'm Guardian of Souls... I see you two are already acquainted." She smiled at them. Friend of the Dead gave a toothly smile, tongue rolling out the side of their mouth as they watched the three interacting. She did wonder though if she should see her way out.

Leaves You Breathless wove through the winter market grounds with purpose. She remembered going through a very enjoyable maze the last year, which allowed her to travel an interesting path with many exotic encounters. It had to be that, and this booth that she was rushing to, that were her favorites.
From afar, she could hear the satisfying splats of berries hitting rock as she rounded the corner and the berry range finally came into view. As she passed by the entrance, she nodded in respect to the proprietors Born of Death and Death Take me. She also took a long look at their descendants present in the area. It was nice to see such a big family come together to bring joy to the swamp. It wasn't something she was familiar with as an only child, but she assumed it was quite nice.
Turning her focus to the range, she observed those already taking their shots. Based on the mess of crushed berries and pulp at the foot of the wall, the range was very popular today. Lots of young kin were lined up to take their turns, which were reckless and barely aimed. She could compare those with the few older kin who took their time and had better results on their attempts.
Her results last week were abysmal, so she was determined to do better this time around. Take her time, be careful with her aim. Keep her eye on the target and add in a little bit of a prayer that her berry flies true!

"I can help," Sleep of Death said, bumping Cried's side gently, then stepping toward the berry stash. "They're over here, I just brought a fresh basket to carry some with -- "
Someone else bumped him, and he startled a little, turning to see what had happened. "You didn't hurt me," he assured the female with the long horn. "Are you okay? Do you need more berries too?"

The Ocean Blooms slowly entered the area. He’d been watching this booth last year but hadn’t quite worked up the nerve to try shooting berries at targets. Now that it was a new year he thought he’d try his luck. After all, if his mother could do well at games like this, perhaps he could too. He got in position and lined up his first shot with the slingshot, grabbing a berry from the basket next to it as ammo. Letting go he saw the berry fly through the air and smack into a small paw print. Success!
He eagerly got himself ready again and aimed the slingshot at a higher target this time. He released the slingshot after feeling the time was just right to shoot and… saw the berry strike a big paw print! He was really good at this! He felt like his luck was running high in this game and smiled happily, doing a little dance in place in excitement.
Ocean Bloom set up his shot for the last chance at hitting a target. He aimed carefully again, just as high as his last shot but over a bit to try and hit another target. He released the berry and watched it fly through the air and land on another small paw print. He felt very proud of himself for doing so well for his first time. The Ocean Blooms nodded at the pair of kin that were running the booth. He’d come back next week to play again, he thought cheerfully.

Story was very pleased to be back as he'd had such fun last time. Sure, he'd not really hit anything, but it was nice to try. And to watch others succeed.
He aimed his first berry and let loose- A big paw! ... That was good, right? Story let himself hollar out with an expression of joy he didn't normally let others see. And then he took aim with the next berry and beamed when it hit another paw print. Not the one he'd been aiming at, but that was okay. Life was full of little wins. They didn't all have to be big ones.
So, he took aim and let fly one more time ... And a miss. Story shook his head and let out a laugh. Sometimes one didn't hit the mark at all. And that was also okay.

Rp response: While Easy Rhythm had not participated in the the berry lobbing last year, this time curiosity got the better of the doe and had her approach the rock wall with its splattered berries, the sugary sweetness easy to smell even from afar. A few polite queries to understand what she was meant to do in order to participate, and she felt confident enough to give the activity a go. Surely it couldn't be too hard even with her bad eyes! She got into position, aimed carefully, and...
Splat! It was a small paw print, but a target nonetheless! Her terrible vision wasn't so much of a detriment in this game luckily, and she felt confident enough to continue. Again she aimed, and again: splat! Another target, a larger one this time! She couldn't help a happy cheer at her success, tossing her head about with delight. One more try was allowed, and one more try she would take, spending the time she needed to be certain that her berry would go in the right direction. Finally, she loosed her last shot, and began to dance as it smashed against another small target. Success! Rhythm danced in place for a moment, finally giving the two booth runners a breathless, "That was very fun! Thank you!"
Don't mind her getting... just a little nibble of some smashed berries off the ground before she moved off with a contented swish of her tail. This Winter Market was so diverse and delightful... she was truly having a wonderful time of it.

Rp response: Yes, of course, this was the natural way of things. Hundred and One leaned down to sniff at not one, but two eagle hounds that had seen his prowess and come to his side. It was a sign, surely, that he was the better son, the better twin, and could not be bested.
"Came to watch the show, did you?" he mused at one of the hounds, tail swishing. "I could do it again, you know. It's not hard." And to prove himself to these dogs, he grabbed some more berries from an unoccupied bowl, lined them up, and hit two targets out of three. The small ones were clearly better, more precise and harder to hit.
"You see? It's all in the flick of your tail when you let loose, that makes the difference." And he looked up to where he saw others, children with a tail like Mother Wrath's, and puffed up his fins to look bigger than his body might suggest.
"A-any day now. I'll be declared the best uncle, the most decorated winner of berry games," he said, nodding to the hounds. "I'm...quite sure of it."
Maybe it was just the rumble of the market, the low din of other kin chatting and cavorting about, but Hundred and One was certain he could hear Mother Wrath's laughter, feel Mother Frog's unblinking cold stare. He would not disappoint them. He could not. He was a proud predator, and everyone here could clearly see it. Couldn't they?

Haven's head tilted as Hundred and One addressed him and the other sanddognthatd wandered over to in investigate, and after the zikwa had taken his shots, striking two of the targets, the dog had barked, a happy hip of a sound.
Born heard it, ears flicking in that direction to listen meet, and at the comment about being the best uncle they turned to wander over.
A delecate thing, smaller than Hundred, but eager all the same. Their tail flicked as they neared, and they smiled up at the other with hopeful kindness. "Uncle, you said. Are you my Death's sibling, then?"

Rp response: Waves Under the Moon sighed a little. His berry shots mostly landed badly, he'd gotten one good shot. Feeling a little deflated, he watched the chicken and foxbuns playing, eating, and over all living their little lives. He wistfully though about how free it would be to be a small animal. Eating, drinking, running, playing. No responsibilities other then up keeping yourself. His thoughts wandered, picturing himself as a foxbun, a hound, a humming bir....
He shook his head. No no no, he didn't want to think about being a humming bird again. The last time ended a badly and he sort of side eyes caiman now. The hot, wet breath and then the sudden dark. Waves shuddered.
He watched a couple of pretty doe lingering around. Their hair were softly curled and they talked amongst each other. He thought they seemed nice and smiled when they smiled. One of them turned slightly towards his and Waves adverted his eyes. He'd never be able to approach them anyway, Friend tended to be a little bit of a turn off no matter how clean he was.
Waves decided he'd moped enough. The last thing anyone wanted to see during the Winter Market are sulking kin no matter what they were sulking about. He decided to check in on some of the other booths, Sea of Tears still had a lot of fishing he could do and he was ok at that at least.
He stopped to look at the familiars, animals never failed to make him smile.

Rp response: There was a small crowd of kin milling about at this booth, and Charcoal Heart paused to investigate. The task seemed easy enough. The contraptions that launched berries were intriguing, and he waited for a few minutes before someone else stepped away from one. Then he stepped up to try his own luck.
He got a berry into it and fumbled with the device, feeling unexpectedly clumsy. When he let go, the berry splatted well wide of any of the targets. Well ... it was his first try. Certainly he'd improve.
It was rather harder than he'd expected. He did not improve.
