RP/Notes: Sun-Cursed had initially been wary about going to the winter market given how intense the sun has been. But like that time in the Limitless Forest, she and Ember managed to slip into a realm where the sun didn't hurt. When she saw they had hands and feet, Sun-Cursed immediately had her hand in Ember's, and was the one to lace their fingers together.

"Ember look!" she said, pointing to a booth where other people had been playing. The sign indicated that they were meant to catch fish! She'd never managed to catch fish before, the water was always too cold at night for her to swim in. But here in this form, Sun-Cursed wanted to give it a go.

She did feel a little disappointed to learn that the fish they were plastic and it was essentially a toy. But she figured "This can be practice for real fishing," She tugged at Ember and led them to the booth, where fortune favored her into being able to get a green-dot.

RP/Notes: Ember was initially concerned that Sun-Cursed wouldn't be able to participate in this year's Winter Market celebrations because of the unexpectedly sunny weather. But with some determination and whole lot of positive thinking, they found enough shaded paths between booths they could travel through to get from place to place.

As they entered this area and turned into their human forms, he felt heat run up his face as Sun-Cursed so boldly grabbed his hand and interlaced her fingers with his. He will never get over that initial feeling of falling in love with her again every time he sees her in the morning, and this change of form proved wholly reminiscent of that feeling.

He happily walks alongside her as she heads to the fishing booth along the wooden dock. He watches her go through a range of emotions as she realizes that the fish in the booth are fake, but then accept the experience of the booth as offered with a brighter outlook.

"I'll take a turn too. I wonder if we can keep the fake fish, just as a souvenir!"

He hooks a fish a sees a blue dot. Better luck next time.

"How about we walk around a bit more before moving on?"

Sun-Cursed nodded eagerly, "I'd like that a lot." That he could read her so easily would have made her feel self-conscious, but because he'd only ever had the best intentions for her, this familiarity only made her halo glow brighter. The boardwalk had all sorts of booths offering games and food and trinkets. "I hope there's somewhere we can get a souvenir from. Maybe we can make it a tradition or something, to bring home something we can decorate our den."

Waves Under the Moon crouched next to the little pool, watching the other people play. Looked simple enough, most people got little dot stickers next to their names. He waited his turn and took up a little purple fishing pole.

"Here goes nothing." He struggled with the toy for a moment or two as it was a simple dunk into the water and not casting like a real reel. The magnet netted at the end netted something and he reeled up a bright yellow plastic fish. He turned it over and found a red dot on the bottom of it. No tickets. "Nothing is right.." he mumbled disappointingly. Oh well..

Ember smiled at her, remembering how the last time they tried to bring something back from these other worlds, the only thing left of it was a fleeting memory. He affectionately rubs his hand on her cheek, "That sounds great--our critters will definitely appreciate more baubles to mess with! He chuckles lightly.
