At the edge of a sun-dappled forest, where the tall trees sighed in the warm tropical breeze, lay a shimmering lake. Birds sang harmoniously, weaving their soft tunes into the fabric of the day.
By the water’s edge stood a buck, a striking creature with a coat that glistened, catching the sunlight. Its gentle eyes, deep pools of knowing, were fixed intently on the surface of the lake. You stepped forward from the shadows of the trees, the earth cushioned your hooves, soft and yielding like an endless carpet of moss.
“Hello, my name is Grained Melon” he called, its voice a melodious whisper, mingling with the whispers of the wind. “You too are drawn to this special place.” Curious, you stepped closer still. “What makes it special?” your heart asked, though no words escaped your lips.
“It is a mirror of our souls,” Melon replied, veering its gaze from the water to meet your own, as if he could hear the very pulse of your thoughts. “The water reflects who we truly are, unveiling the depths of our spirit. But tread carefully, for what you find may not always be pleasant. The journey is personal, and it might require facing what you’ve concealed, even from yourself. Come and see if you like.”
With these words echoing in mind, you approached the lake’s edge. The water beckoned, glistening invitingly.
You dipped a hoof into the shallows. The coolness enveloped you, tugging gently at your fur. Taking a deep breath, you stepped fully into the lake. A slushy layer of mud squelched beneath your hooves, grounding you. You waded a little deeper, the water swirling around your legs, shimmering like a veil of stars. It felt as if the very essence of the forest was infused within the lake, each ripple echoing the heartbeat of the world.
With a gentle flick of your head, you turned to face the still surface before you. As your gaze met the water, you held your breath. The lake responded, its surface quivering slightly, and then it stilled. You paused, captivated by the sight before you. The reflection in the lake was unlike anything you had ever seen; it morphed and shifted, revealing not only his physical form but delving deeper into the very essence of his being. The water’s surface rippled ever so slightly, creating a kaleidoscope of images that danced across your mind.
What do you see?

The tasks are divided by week. Every week a different task with familiar and kin as prizes. Due to the time difference, it is a little difficult to determine the exact days, so please always pay attention to the last post. I announce the new week manually. It might also be possible that I add a day or two more. Prizes are announced at the start of the week and drawn at random at the end of the week. You can take part in every task but if you have won an familiar, you are excluded from further familiars, you can still win a kin - the same goes the other way around.

▸Depths of the Jungle Water - What lies beneath? A Banana?◂
Get your own banana now! Just a little funny side thing*
As you lowered your head to look into the lake, you spot something peculiar out of the corner of your eye. At first, you thought it was a trick of the light, but as you focused, you couldn’t believe what you saw. There, lounging lazily on a warm rock beside the lake, was a great green anaconda. But this was no ordinary snake, the massive creature was adorned in a bright yellow banana costume.
“Greetings!” the anaconda hissed, a mischievous twinkle in its eye. “I must say, you’re quite a sight! But I think I’m outshining you today.”
You jolted back, surprised but intrigued. “What’s going on here? Why are you wearing that costume?”
“Oh, this?” the anaconda slithered, flicking its tail. “It’s Banana Month! A very special occasion! I’m just here to celebrate the joy of fruit in the most festive way possible.”
Before you could respond, you suddenly noticed another odd sight, a giant snail, slowly making its way toward the lake. To his bewilderment, the snail was also wearing a banana costume, though its version was somewhat more fitted and a little more snug against its spiraled shell.
“Oh, look who else is joining the party!” the anaconda called, chuckling.
The snail, heard the commotion and raised its head. “Hello, dear friends! Isn’t this delightful? Banana Month is the one time of the year when we can all come together to honor bananas in style!”
You blinked in amazement. “Banana Day? Do you mean Winter Marked?”
“Pff winter marked.. we call it Banana month, its a celebration of fun, friendship, and, of course, bananas!” the snail explained, inching closer. “We wear our costumes, share snacks, only banana-flavored. Would you like to join us?”
Available for all kin (edit or non edit), snail without a shell and anacondas!
50p per edit.

I hope you have as much fun at my booth as I do. Let’s start!
Create a mood board about yourself.
The mood board is supposed to tell a story about you. What do you like? How do you see yourself? What defines you? What do you like to share about yourself? If you feel uncomfortable with this, you can create a mood board about your kin instead of about yourself.
Here is my example made with canvas.

How do you imagine the lake?
Be creative! What does the environment look like, what animals live there? Draw the lake. Merge pictures. Create another Moodboard. Write a story. It's up to you!

Complete the story.
How do you think your kin will react to the pictures in the water? What happens after the images slowly fade?
Is it curious and wants to see more? Is it running away? Does it slip and land in the water? Or maybe do you like to go to Grained Melon?
