[PRP] New experiences [Wayward Son/Whispers of Death]

Post by doomsayer »

Wayward Son keeps his eyes trained on the locals and their settlement as he and Whispers of Death walk past, making sure to be prepared if any of them approached. Without looking at her, he responds to her question, "Not any more dangerous than your run of the mill kin. But if they group together, then they're a threat. Hate and fear are strong motivators and tend to steal away all logic and common sense. Once they get it in their heads that you're their enemy, then no amount of trying to talk them down will get them to leave you alone."

His cheetah familiar tails behind them, often darting off into the distance to catch itself a little snack, but always coming back to continue traveling behind them.

It doesn't take long for them to pass that settlement when they continue walk northwest, hugging the strip of land where the plains meets the swamp, with their destination bringing them closer to the foot of the mountain range. "We will need to do a little climbing before getting to our ultimate destination. Have you ever traveled up the mountains before?"

[PRP] New experiences [Wayward Son/Whispers of Death]

Post by Beejoux »

The dark doe hummed a quiet, thoughtful note, shifting slightly so her shoulder brushed up against Wayward's. Death was certainly a part of the great cycle of life, but Whispers was not keen to embark upon that particular journey just yet, not in such a potentially violent way. Still, it was interesting to learn of such things, to know there were kin out there that felt and lived in that way. It didn't make sense to her, she'd have never chosen that for herself, but so long as they left her and Wayward in peace, they could do as they pleased.

"It doesn't seem a fulfilling existence," she reflected softly, head tipping up as she heard Omen's a second or two before the crow was lighting gracefully on one of Whisper's horns.

As they walked she watched the buck's cheetah, the land changing around them, the buck himself. Eagerly taking it all in until they reached some rockier terrain. She considered his question briefly before giving a careful shake of her head. "No, I haven't done anything like that. I've never been this far north before."
