How did this happen?
When did it start?
Rumours spread like wildfire.
Once again, this fragile heart had stood in line for another heartache.
I was cast aside. Excluded.
My pride fell apart.
No place to hide. Nowhere to run.
False facts filled the air.
Sometimes I wish I could vanish with the wind.

She fell into a puddle when she was young and was alright. As she got older she got pushed into the lake by the bully, of same age, from within the herd she was in. The leader of the pack saved her. Ever since that incident, she quietly went and trained by herself to swim better, week after week, until she was able to catch fish with ease in shallow and/or deep waters.

I am alone in the forest. A brown mouse bit me and ran away.
I tried to chase it and put down my foot. It sunk below the ground.
The more I struggled to free it, the deeper I sunk.
Soon it reached my mouth, my eyes, my nose, my ears.
It consumed me whole.
When I opened my eyes, the forest was upside down.
Strange shadows loomed in every corner, watching me.
The wind howled and caressed my face, touching me.
The shrubs and lakes twist and turned as I blinked, taunting me.
Where is this place?
I saw that same mouse again. It jumped up into the lake and vanished.
Without thinking, I ran and leaped in after it. What happens to me now?
Bright lights flashed before me and it became difficult for me to breath.
Am I drowning or floating? This I cannot tell for my eyes starts to blur.
I must be dying, I thought, and shut my eyes for a quick moment.
When I opened my eyes, my head was strangely dipped below water.
Is this a dream?
I inhaled the water and started to choke. I pulled my head out, fast.
It is not a dream.
I looked around, breathing heavily, and spat to rid the water from reaching my lungs.
I looked down. Body still in one piece. Still standing on solid ground.
I was not in the forest, nor was it upside down.
I am alone in the swamp. There were no mice to be found.
This imagination of mine, it never sleeps.
