The tree - large and furred with vibrant, mossy green lichen - resembles a willow, all of its branches bowing down towards the earth - and when you step closer, you can smell the scent of water emanating somewhere from within. Tiny white flowers blossom near the base and on some of the smaller limbs, and there are little creatures that slip in and amongst the roots; quick things with slithering tails and sharp teeth and tiny little claws to dig into the wood. Beady black eyes watch as you come closer.

The tree is a weathered old thing, looking as though its been standing for so long that it might just sink into the dirt at any moment - but the wide, gnarled trunk is strong and powerful, holding its branches with ease. Something about it feels calm and restful, reminding those who draw nearer of sand underneath their hooves, the smell of salty air in their nose and breathed into their lungs.

The door is simple: only large enough for one to pass through at a time, the passageway lined with a thin, twisting dragon whose jaws are clenched tight, scale body lithe and lean. Its length and small size - spanning in an arch from the bottom of one side to the other - might suggest a snake, but the wings furled closely against their back indicate otherwise.

The sense of calm continues through the door, warmth on your skin and sweetness in the air.

A place of respite, relaxation and rejuvenation, the Lunarian Isles are a series of small, one-roomed houses all connected by a central wooden walkway over a glorious and gleaming deep blue sea. Each house is personalized to whomever uses it, changing and shifting based on the current occupant; if more than one enters at a time, it will become something of an amalgamation, a reflection of both (or more).

As a Lunarian, you are a human; however, not quite fully one. You retain normal human limbs, feet and hands, but share some characteristics of the water dragon gods who originally gave life to you, whether that means you have horns or a tail, sharp teeth or scales, webbed hands or fins or some combination of all of these things. All Lunarians have fin ears, but the design of them is up to you. When it grows darker outside, you are naturally drawn towards the water, your body instinctively shifting into a more primal form of dragon, a more feral one.

The ocean calls to you; it wants you to be a part of it.

Many creatures roam both in and out of the waters of Lunaria. They are not exactly pets, but bonded companions, ranging from colorful, twittering birds, to glittering flying fish, to tiny little dragons as sleek and light as air. There is no limit to these, and in fact it is encouraged that all Lunarians bond with a creature to have support and comfort.

Gentle, alluring music resembling that from an erhu can be heard from a small central building at the heart of all of the houses. If you follow the sound of it, you'll find yourself in a one-roomed building with white stone walls and a sloping rooftop. A gold dragon made of some sort of metal sits atop, staring down at you with jaws gaped wide and rows of gleaming teeth. Water drips from the open mouth, a gentle waterfall that one must pass under to go inside. It's said to be a cleansing of sorts, a test to see if you remain worthy enough to continue forward.

A wide stage takes up one side of the interior, scarlet curtains pulled aside to reveal an elegant figure posed in flowing robes of pink and red. She sits in a spindly wooden chair, her head bowed as her long fingers draw a slender bow back and forth over the instruments she holds carefully across her lap. Her hair is a vibrant shade of magenta that complements her pale skin, and its swept to one side of her head, revealing glimmering scales that travel up and down her throat.

On the other side of the room are a series of small, round tables that are just enough for two people to sit at. Food and drink is provided with a wave of one's hand, a scaly tailed young man whisking out from behind a small doorway set against the back wall, tray in one hand and cups in another.

It's a merry place, where you can feel calm and relaxed and at ease, the music lulling you into memories that reassure you, lift you up, remind you that you are good enough, that you are worthy of being here. If you stay too long, however, basking in the memories the House brings you, perhaps you won't be able to rise back to the present...

On all sides of the floating houses is water; an ocean thriving with all sorts of marine life, flora and fauna alike. Lunarians can breathe underwater whether in their human form or their full dragon form, and have no need to rise to the surface to take a breath. Every kind of fish, shark, ray, barnacle, coral reef or plant can be founder under these rolling waves - including ones that aren't "normal," a menagerie of magical creatures and plants to expand the mind's imagination. Sea dragons and sea horses, fish with sparkling fins that leap out of the water and fly towards the skies, eel-like beings that change color to hide from their pursuers, winged birds that can breathe underwater, their feathers sleek and streamlined. It's an entire world to be explored, a glittering expanse of life just below the surface. Anyone is free - and encouraged - to swim to their heart's content.

Fierce Warrior is a kindhearted, somber kin - or in this case, man, who goes by the name Qián Jianyu. Tall and graceful, with long, sleek horns protruding from the top of his head and a spiked, scaley tail, Jianyu can be found wandering from place to place, checking in on the visitors of his realm to make sure that they have everything they need. A part of this is friendliness; a part of this is anxiousness, always uncertain whether or not he's doing the right thing, always trapped in a box of his own making, conflicted about his place in the world. He looks to be in his late 30s or early 40s here, lines beginning to show around the edges of his eyes.

If you have questions or concerns, Fierce is there to try and alleviate them. If he can't, he'll figure out something else, whatever he can do to make sure that you feel comfortable and welcomed.

While exploring beneath the surface, your Lunarian runs across an underwater cave. Inside, something glows, and something about it pulls you in...but you're not sure if it's safe or not. Do you dare swim deeper?

Your home in the Isles is a reflection of who you are. What does that mean? Is it a more nebulous, shifting thing, continually adapting to your whims and follies? Or is it somewhere safe and solid, unchanging in its appearance, a place of respite for when you need?

While full Lunarian dragon forms tend to lean towards eastern in design, ultimately they can be any sort of dragon, a mirror that tells a story of their life. What does that mean for your character? Do they prefer soaring above in the clouds or gliding down through the water? Are their wings ragged and torn, or is their tail more spiked to use in fights? What makes them who they are? All Lunarians are naturally drawn towards the water, but it doesn't mean they have to like it. How does that affect their appearance?

The Dragon House is a place of memories, always reminding you of emotional impacting moments of your life, whether those moments are good or bad, tragic or wonderful. If you sit there long enough, basking in the music and the faint scent of smoke, you'll start to sink deeper and deeper into the past.
