Trek to the Caves (Over)

Nearly a year ago, here at the very edge of the swamp was a gathering. It was one unlike the Winter Market, though it would take place during the festivities. The booth that had been set up was brightly painted, almost garish as if to make up for the flimsy construction.

Heart and Home had to convince Forward by Choice that it was fine, that the booth didn't need to last forever. Just long enough for kin to notice and hopefully take interest in the expedition the kimeti doe had planned.

Heart had consulted with Real Big Fish about the trek to the caves, planning out a route that Forward was in charge of keeping on course. Though the obelisks were available for use, it only made sense to travel through the in-between if speed was a point of consideration. For the beginning of the trek, it was the company and the environment that mattered.

The zikwa caves was the goal.

The journey there was the point.

There will be three "legs" to this booth with staggered prizes. Each leg will last (roughly) as follows:
Leg 1: 7 days (give or take a day)
Leg 2: 7 to 10 days (give or take a day)
Leg 3: 7 to 10 days (give or take a day)

This will mostly be quick and easy tasks with some opportunities for extra tickets (when they apply). Each person can only win one pet/familiar and one kin. Any "leftover" prizes per leg will be included in the final leg.

While Heart and Home has prepared as best as she could, it was still a long way from the Swamp to the Zikwa caves. Thankfully it wasn't the first time such a journey was undertaken and she had first-hand (hoof?) experience. She was confident that things would go well. Sort of. Mostly. With the unearthing of that glowing stone ("Ignore that twinge of guilt, please."), who knew how recent events have affected the landscape and those that dwelled within?

The caves weren’t all too different from when the expedition was first held. Perhaps the strange pockets of darkness had not found its way here. The sense of normalcy Heart and Home felt here suggested to the kimeti that that was the case.

"We'll be here in the caves for only a few days, but we'll still have to earn our keep," Heart began. "This won't be too much work, just gather some water, some food, maybe firewood, simple things like that." She recalled there were other chores at the caverns but she didn't want to force the kin who joined her to take on more than what was necessary. The doe herself had promised to bear most of the labor tasks, and while she hadn't asked them, the members of her family would pitch in as well.

Answering the following RP "Chores" prompt will also give you bonus tickets. These have no minimum word counts, so a couple of sentences is acceptable. You can answer each prompt as many times as you want, but you can only earn tickets from each prompt once. Please also put the total amount of extra tickets you got for the prompt.

• 1-2 – You got a lot but some mysterious creature stole most of it when you weren’t looking (+1 ticket)
• 3-4 – Just enough to be comfortable (+2 tickets)
• 5-6 – A generous portion, enough to feed a second kin (+3 tickets)

The visit to the zikwa caves had been uneventful, minus the odd furbody popping in out of nowhere. The pockets of darkness had been minimal at best and it was time to head back to the swamp. With everyone gathered and ready, they set off to the nearest obelisk. Unfortunately, a slice of darkness opened and swallowed the group.

When eyes adjusted to the dim light, they were still in caves. Well, yes, why wouldn't they be? They'd been hired to explore the dangerous Underdark in search of, in search of, wait what were they hired for? A group of important dragonborn delegates had gone missing? Oh, yes, right, that's what happened. The last news was their diplomatic party were attacked by strange beasts, mostly native to the Underdark.

Right. That's right. What are we waiting for? We should go save them!

Want More Tickets?
While there are two raffles going on, not everyone will be participating in both. They do share the same ways of getting additional tickets, which means doing any of the following will earn you tickets for the raffles you entered. So if you entered both and earned an additional 5 tickets, each raffle you entered also gets 5 tickets. If you only entered one raffle and earned 5 tickets, the raffle you entered gets 5 tickets.

These are all optional with varying effort-levels.


One-Shots
These are the one-and-done ways of earning tickets. You can claim them all in one post or spread them throughout.

• State if you posted the form in Leg 1 (+1 ticket)
• State if you posted the form in Leg 2 (+1 ticket)
• Tally and state any extra tickets earned in Leg 1 and/or 2 apart from the "enter form get 1 ticket" ticket (+X tickets)
• Make and upload a picrew of your kin in the Underdark AU (can be any kin of yours) (+2 tickets)
• What class/race do you think your kin would be? (+1 ticket)

A Whole Campaign
This is a D&D AU specifically set in the Underdark. But if you're not familiar with D&D, no worries, the prompts below are setting agnostic. While there is no word count minimum, it should have a couple of sentences. Filling a prompt earns you +3 tickets. You can fill in a maximum of 5 prompts, though please make them in separate posts.

Math Rocks Go Click-Clack
Sometimes it's just really about the visceral satisfaction of hearing and rolling a metric-ton of dice. Digital dice is incomparable but it's a lot more convenient. The following are dice games that each can be done up to 3 times with their own ticket payouts. Please make them in separate posts, and include the total of tickets you earned.

Roll for Stats
Roll 4d6, drop the lowest. Add up the highest 3, the total corresponds to how many tickets you've earned.

• 3 or 18 = +6 tickets
• 4-8 = +2 tickets
• 9-13 = +3 tickets
• 14-17 = +4 tickets

Wild Magic Surge
Roll 5d100 you get +1 ticket. Each 7, 8, 41, 42, or 69 that comes up earns an additional +3 tickets.

I give the Help Action and Guidance
Roll 2d20+d4 you get +1 ticket.
If any of the d20s are a nat 20 or a nat 1, you get an additional +3 tickets.
If the d4 is a 4, you get an additional +1 ticket.
