[BRP] Trailing Orchid x Guardian of Life

Trailing Orchid was familiar with growing gardens, growing babies was another matter altogether, one she was quite unfamiliar with. She was quite maternal towards lilies, orchids, roses, and wildflowers alike, so caring for children shouldn't be any different, right? She had selected some of her finest seedlings to give as an offering, they were secured around her neck in a dainty leaf like satchel tied with twine. This was an acceptable gift, was it not?

Guardian of Life had spent time back home in the Mothborn Tribe lands and her mate before once more finding herself wandering the swamp, helping those in need. Today was no different, she'd woken with a feeling of needing to get moving. Guardian lost track of how long she'd been walking but when she spied Trailing Orchid she knew this was where she was needed. Approaching the doe there was a friendly "Hello!" from the Mare, stopping a short distance away.

She was a little lost in thought so the sudden appearance of the Mare before her almost startled her. Soft came creeping from the underbrush behind trailing orchid and stared at the pale Guardian before them. "Oh- Hello there. I fear I was lost in thought towards the end there, forgive me for not noticing you until now." She looked down at Soft and smiled, if she could also care for a salamander egg as well, raising offspring would be no different.... right? Though she wasn't entirely sure how involved Briar Bed was going to be, his overall demeanor and tender care regarding his plants was endearing, perhaps if their children showed the same kind of enlightenment towards gardening he'd view them as "sprouts" or something perhaps? Either way she was quite thrilled, despite being nervous.

"Oh, I brought this for you. "Passing along the small satchel to Soft she watched as the salamander brought the seedlings to the Mare.

I JUST NOTICED THE CANDLE ON HER HEAD!!! How cute, that is a candle right?

"My apologies, I wasn't trying to startle you." a gentleness to Guardian's tone as she apologized to the doe, only to have her attention snagged by the salamander a low laugh from her, especially as the ghostly visage of a pale marine iguana came into view to stare curiously at Soft. It was an amusing moment for her.

Looking down to Soft herself she took the offered satchel, and set it aside for the moment to pick up before leaving. "Thank you for the gift, I look forward to discovering what's inside." but there were more important matters first. "Now my dear, what's on your mind? How can I help you today?"

Nope! Horn, then part of that ear, then you can see the other horn and ear clearly!

"Oh, no need to apologize. The error was on my behalf." She replied to the mare with a smile.

Soft eyed the iguana cautiously but waited a moment and then retreated to behind Trailing Orchid's legs.

Trailing Orchid listened to the question and was sure she had a clear vision for what she wanted, but now was uncertain. "I know how to tend to plants, and apparently salamanders," she looked back towards Soft, "but I'm unsure if children are the same when it comes to care so I am nervous... Briar Bed, while I haven't discussed the matter with him much, seems just as apt at tending to plants as I am so I don't see why we wouldn't be good parents...." She was trailing off now.. "What I mean to ask... I hope that these children grow like our flowers, nourished, loved and well cared for...."

The iguana continued to stare at Soft before it lost interest and vanished after a little bit making Guardian smile some at it's antics while listening to what Trailing Orchid was saying.

"I think that's very sweet." it was! "May the MotherFather bless your children with all the love and care that you and Briar Bed put into caring for plants so they grow up to blossom healthy and strong just like your plants." Guardian gave the doe a warm smile. "I think you'll do just fine with your young by the sounds of things."

"Thank you again for the gift, safe travels." she bent then to pick it up carefully with her teeth before she was turning to go.

Trailing Orchid listened intently as the Mare spoke and felt the tightness within her chest slowly eb and eventually fade altogether. A breath of relief escaped her mouth, just barely and she spoke towards the pale Mare. "Thank you Guardian of Life. Your words help ease the worry that I have." She gave a small bow and then smiled towards her.

When Guardian of Life spoke towards her once more before turning to walk away she gave a nod back in response and said, "You as well." Watching as the Mare took her leave of the glade, Trailing Orchid took a moment to think about this moment and knew it would be one she would remember for some time to come. She turned and walked away from the Mare, feeling much better about the days to come.
