Welcome to Matope's 2023 RP-focused Halloween event! This is a month long event with a range of contests, events, and raffles, for people to participate in. There will also be a story-driven ORP that kin are invited to participate in, or you're also welcome to create PRPs in the
RP subforum on the theme of this event, motes and glow, or meeting the new Nudibranch familiars!
Note that all the fabulous banners and art for this event were created by Baneful, as was the story!
This event breaks ALL THE RULES, featuring first gen kin and pets of all species that somehow, miraculously, glow.
Kin also share the fabulous Halo of Light edit!
RP Event:
An interactive ORP will be open all event, for kin to talk about the Helpers, Steals Fire, the strange glow, or anything else relevant to the event. There may or may not be GM Updates in this thread!
Art Event:
Please do some art from this event! Post it in the Art Thread at any time from Oct 1-22!
Nudibranches:
We're releasing a brand new NUDIBRANCH familiar as a part of this event!
Like Jellyfish and the various other Marine animals, these little sea slugs can exist both in the water and on shore, though they prefer a damp area. They make no sound, instead following their kin silently, often flickering with glow.
Short Events:
There will be six short contests over the course of this event, each running for about a week. They will overlap, but each will have a simple task for people to complete for tickets towards a free raffle. The prizes will mostly be kin, but may also have pets/familiars.

Family Poetry Contest: Oct 8-14 (neons)
Combat Dice Contest: Oct 12-18 (candles)
Crafting Writing Contest: Oct 16-22 (springhares)
ORP Update & Final Contest: Oct 23 on (space cats)
Glow Raffle Rolled: Oct 31 (helpers & more!)
