He'd met Sinking Into Solace by chance, and at first the two had been fairly indifferent to one another. But time, and proximity had changed that. He'd found the other bucks presence more than tolerable as quiet as he was, and he found his quiet company oddly soothing.
When he'd failed to show one day, not feeling well upon waking, Solace had found him, and care for him till he'd gotten his strength back, and he in turn coaxed little smiles and laughter from the quiet buck. That was something he found he loved, making the otherwise quiet buck lose his composure and laugh among other things.
Care was lost in thought as he mused over meeting the other, how it'd all happened, and what was happening now. Of course he'd told the other to stay home, he'd go and track down a legendary. He found himself growing more willing to care about another, all because he'd allowed Solace to care for him. He'd do a lot for that buck he realized. Like tromp through MotherFather forsaken parts of the swamp to find a legendary to bless their children.
So when he literally bumped into a Mare he gave a startled cry and looked up at her. "Watch it!" he snarled before he realized who, or perhaps what he was talking to, and he closed his eyes to breath in and exhale slowly. "My apologies. I was rude, and also not paying attention to where I was going are you okay?"
Guardian heard the snappish words and waited patiently for the buck to calm down and speak properly before doing the same. "I'm sorry I startled you young one. I thought you'd seen me, and didn't realize you were lost in thought. I'm just fine, are you? however?" When he gave a nod to indicate she was she shifted so she could fall into step with him. "I get the feeling you were looking for me? Or someone like me yes?" "Yes, I was. How did you know?" "It's a gift." literally. He gave a dumbstruck nod of his head.
"I heard through someone else in passing that someone like you can give us a blessing is that right? From the MotherFather?" "Whoever told you that was correct yes." she suppressed a chuckle as his body visibly sagged, clearly glad he hadn't been on a wild good chase. "Do you have one you'd ask of me?"
He paused for a moment. "Sort of...maybe you can make it sound better? Sinking Into Solace is so quiet until you get him around the right kin...and then he lights up and the area around him and I...I'm I Don't Care, and well I find myself with difficulties letting others in, showing I care... I'd like our children to be able to care easier, love freer, but also be confident enough to let their wonderful self show, and light up everything and everyone around them. Especially those who...care...about them. Does that make sense? Is it even any good?"
Guardian let out a soft, gentle chuckle. "Don't fret, it makes plenty of sense. May the MotherFather bless your children with the ability to love others, as well as themselves, to always know their worth, and for those around them to see it as well." Care broke into a bright smile as he words were spoken, eyes falling shut as he let out a deep breath, stress he didn't know he was holding onto being let go of. "Thank you so much...I didn't catch your name!" He opened his eyes to turn to the Mare only to discover she was gone, only a rustle of the bushes near him telling him he hadn't imagined the entire thing...had he?
