Fairy Gold was nervous, mainly due to the fact he'd yet to be a parent and now he was to be one, and soon! Starchaser followed along behind Fairy Gold, sensing his nervousness. Fairy Gold had met Sugarplum Fairy by chance and the two of them had gotten along well enough. Now she was expecting and he wasn't entirely sure what to do. He had done what he could to help make sure she was comfortable and provided for, though he wanted to be extra sure so he was on the hunt for one of the Legendary that graced their lands. Starchaser had a small bundle in it's mouth, the gift that Fairy Gold had put together for whomever they happened to come across. Though he was uncertain they would be appeased by such a small offering. It was one of his prized finds, a small stone that glittered inside when the light caught it just right. Starchaser also wore a flower crown that Sugarplum Fairy had fashioned with dry flowers, so as to not break it in the bundle. Slowly the two made their way and kept hopeful eyes open.
The marine iguana watched the duo walking along from the bushes trying to mostly stay out of sight, blinking slowly a few times before it melted away back into the bushes, and not too long after a pale mare stepped out in it's place with a slow gait her ever present limp there but not hindering her any. Seeing them walking off, Guardian of Life quickly called out to Fairy Gold with a bright "Hello there!" to catch his attention before he and his companion got too far away. No sense in him having to double back too far after all.
Starchaser caught the movement before Fairy Gold but didn't want to alert the buck for fear of dropping the bundle in his mouth. Thankfully Fairy Gold heard the call of Guardian and stopped in his steps to turn and look back the way they had come. Gulping he suddenly felt very nervous. Hello. He said trying to compose himself mentally.
My name is Fairy Gold, and this is my companion Starchaser, motioning towards starchaser who gave a little bow of their own, "I am thankful to be able to speak to you today. He was rambling he felt and gave a small bow of his head towards the Mare.
Guardian could tell the buck felt nervous talking to her, and she could understand that easily. She'd felt the same way when she'd been the one looking for a blessing once upon a time.
"It's wonderful to meet you Fairy Gold, and you as well Starchaser. I'm Guardian of Life, but please call me Guardian." she was friendly, and the tone to her words was kind. "It's my pleasure to be here for you today to help you out. No need to be nervous young one."
Fairy Gold felt himself grow less nervous as Guardian spoke and he motioned for starchaser to come closer to him. I did bring an offering with me Guardian, starchaser set the bundle on the ground and Fairy Gold unwrapped the Geode and placed the flower crown beside it. I wasn't sure what to offer in return for a blessing so I brought one of my prized possessions and sugarplum fairy made the flower crown you see there. Rubbing one of his front legs with the other hoof he looked up at Guardian of Life, which seemed to be quite a fitting name as he was hoping the life that was about to come into this world that was of his own flesh and blood would be well cared for, guarded. Sugarplum Fairy wanted to come herself, but I insisted she rest as I wasn't sure how long I would be traveling. He was rambling again. Starchaser moved closer to Fairy Gold to hopefully relax him some, it was interesting seeing the buck out of sorts over becoming a parent.
"Thank you for such sweet gifts, and when you get back to her, tell Sugarplum Fairy I said thank you as well." they were truly wonderful gifts and she'd be sure to find a home for the geode once she returned home to Pestilence. She knew he'd help her find the perfect spot for it in their home nest. Turning away from the gifts she looked at the nervous buck and gave a soft chuckle. "I know your feelings well, being nervous seeking out one to help with a blessing from the MotherFather, the first time seems to always be the hardest." or at least to her it had been.
"Tell me Fairy Gold, what sort of blessing would you wish for your young?" she thought it was sweet of the buck to come in the does stead wanting her to remain somewhere safe and comfortable to relax. It sounded like she and the young would be doted on which was sweet.
His worry slowly ebbed away as Guardian of Life spoke and starchaser took a seat, now that Fairy was much less nervous. She's going to be delighted to hear that. Pleased that Guardian adored the gifts, he almost wished Sugarplum had come with to have witnessed this first hoof.
He had been thinking the whole way here, what he would ask, but now the words seemed stuck in his throat. "I.. clearing his throat he smiled at Guardian, "I wish for them to be healthy and always know love." As cheesy as that sounded it was true. He never wanted them to be without love.
"I'm very happy to hear she'll be delighted. My mate will love the geode as well, it will look so nice in our nest." She was happy to see the buck was relaxing in her company. Well mostly.
Once he got his request out she smiled at him. "That's lovely Fairy Gold. May the MotherFather bless your young with health and love. Both that of their parents, others, and for themselves." She bent to pick up the flower crown with her teeth and with a gentle toss of her head got it to balance there, before she picked up the thing the geode had been carried in. "Thank you again for such sweet gifts. Be well young one."
I am pleased to hear to that it will be admired by you and yours. He looked down at starchaser and wondered how Sugarplum was fairing, he'd have to bring back some snacks for her as well when he returned with the news. I thank you again Guardian and I hope that we may meet again, even if it's not for a blessing. The young buck said with a smile as he and starchaser headed back home towards Sugarplum.
