Breath Gives Life
A seed, small and helpless
Curled inside its mother
Waiting to be born.
Suddenly, light and cold
A rough tongue bathing
A child opening it's mouth.
Taking that first breath
And giving it life.

Lemondrops
Lemons litter the ground
Ripe and swollen with juice
A kin steps up to the lemons
Then jumps on them.
Juice squirts out and
Drops of lemon juice fly
Matting the kin's legs
Then soaking into the grass.
Another kin comes along
Licking up the juice
A sour face appears.
