The aftermath of the Furby War is a rather more gruesome sight than Hush is used to, and with the adrenaline now wearing out of her system she's made all the more aware of the various scratches, bumps, and bruises she's acquired - not to mention the various bits of blood, goop and general mess covering her and caking her poor tail. Yet, all of that pales in comparison to the doe who had fought next to her so bravely during that fight - and lost an eye in the process.

Seeing Red, at first, does not seem to realize how bad the damage actually is, and Hush has no doubt that's due to the face she's also still a bit high on adrenaline. When it wears off, though...

She bites her lip a little in worry, and steps closer, wincing slightly at the sharp little stick still poking straight out of the kimeti's eye.

"Ah.... Red.. I'm afraid the damage is quite a bit more than just a little scratch. I think, actually, you should come with me. My niece, Poppymilk, is something of a healer and I've picked up some things from her in the past that may be of some use. You're going to be feeling that eye rather soon and, well -- I'd like to help you." She says, a little shyly, though there's something stern in the tone as well - gentle but insistent concern, perhaps.

[imgleft]https://matope.pixel-blueberry.com/imag ... uncert.png[/imgleft]When Albatross had mentioned she'd be seeing her again in the Haunted Grove, she hadn't quite expected it to be in such a violent venue. Seeing Red barely got a glimpse of her before the furbies clambered out from their pit and began to charge. Everything had gone fine at first! It'd been fun, actually - fighting side by side with other kin, seeing how far the furbies would go when kicked away, watching the numbers dwindle - until they came back. That's when the tides turned. As every single furby reawoke beneath their hooves there just wasn't time for pain. Let your guard down for a half-second, even begin to figure out if the blood on your fur was yours or a furby's or a friend's and you'd miss the furby from the tree or the one from just behind your or...

Seeing Red hummed in acknowledgement to Hush's words. "Are you sure? I guess I can't see out of it, but I usually don't anyhow," She laughed and moved to flip her hair out of her face - only to wince in pain as the stick caught on her hair, "Okay, okay, yeah, something's not - it's - I'll come with you."

The adrenaline had begun to wane and her body ached. It took a moment for the zikwa's last sentence to sink in, but when it did she turned to her smiled drowsily.

"Thank you."

With the chaos of the fighting now over, and her own adrenaline waning, Hush finds that she's feeling more her usual self in the aftermath - which is to say, somewhat shy. It's not as bad as it would be with a total stranger, of course, but Seeing Red's bravery has left an impact on her that she won't soon be forgetting. Had it not been for the other doe's presence Hush isn't sure how well she, herself, would have fared and so it's no surprise she regards the kimeti with more than a little bit of admiration.

Once in her den, Hush pulls out some of the herbs her niece had given to her some time ago. They're dried, but should still be serviceable. More important is the stick that is still lodged in the doe's eye socket.

"Chew these and be sure to chew them well. They should help take the edge off the pain. They're bitter, but I promise they work. Then.... well, to be honest, I'm not really sure your eye can be saved. The best I can do is remove the stick so it doesn't get worse..." her soft voice fills with regret at the last bit. Her own eyesight is not as good as a kimeti's, she knows, but the limited sight she does have makes her empathetic to Red's situation.
